Waternet Prevents 101 kg of Plastic Waste per Year with a Single Device

The fact that Earth Overshoot Day for Plastic for 2024 was set on September 5th shows that our planet's waste management capacity has been exceeded. Studies forecast that approximately 70 million tons of plastic will be left in nature by the end of the year. According to the report published by Earth Action, 220 million tons of plastic waste is expected to be produced in 2024. The fact that Plastic Overshoot Day has been set as September 5th reveals how much damage the waste produced causes to our world. The report states that approximately 70 million tons of plastic will not be able to be disposed of and will remain in nature. Increasing plastic waste threatens a sustainable future through the climate crisis, industrialization and population growth, while also making access to safe water and food more difficult.
