Filli Boya Launches "One Color of Joy to Life" Movement

Filli Boya, Turkey's most trusted paints brand, has launched the "Add 1 Colour of Joy to Life" initiative to provide people with spaces that offer hope and happiness. The first location of the project, which will enhance public spaces across Turkey through the power of design and colour, is Abbasağa Park in Beşiktaş.

Filli Boya, which has backed numerous corporate social responsibility projects to date, continues this mission with new initiatives. As will be recalled, Filli Boya launched the "Filli School" project to ensure that over 3,000 schools across Turkey have healthy and modern educational facilities and to support children's access to better learning conditions. While serving as the "Eternal Supporter" during restoration work at the 11 Millî Saray and enabling the renewal of the Çanakkale Historical area, Turkey's most beloved paints brand is now launching a new initiative. The project, named "Add 1 Colour of Joy to Life," aims to beautify public spaces across Turkey through the power of design and colour.

Filli Boya General Manager Tayfun Küçükoğlu, noting that they have made it a principle to develop and benefit society since their founding day and have made corporate social responsibility projects their mission,

stated: "As Nippon Paint Betek, we have more than 5,000 distributors across all 81 provinces of Turkey. In every province where we operate, we adopt local values and work to protect the environmental and cultural heritage that the people of that region cherish. Although there are many negative feelings about the times we live in, we always say there is hope... We need to never abandon hope and discover new possibilities and new worlds, and express ourselves freely in these processes. For this reason, as Filli Boya, we are launching our "Add 1 Colour of Joy to Life" initiative together with the Colour Palette of the Year that we have determined for 2025. Through the Add 1 Colour of Joy to Life initiative, we are committed to beautifying and revitalising the public spaces where people gather together, coexist, breathe, and connect with life through projects that bring together not only our expertise, experience and knowledge, but also design specialists. We carry Anatolia's civilisational heritage spanning over 10,000 years, the legacy that inspires humanity and brings hope. Our lands are cradles of hope. We will share this heritage of hope, its spirit and our colours in our parks and shared spaces, spreading hope and a positive future effect."

Project kicks off at Abbasağa Park

The first step of the "Add 1 Colour of Joy to Life" initiative was taken at Abbasağa Park in Istanbul's Beşiktaş. Through collaboration with Beşiktaş Municipality and designs by Pekmez X Boz Mimarlık Ofisi, Filli Boya revitalised and coloured Abbasağa Park. From the park's entrance gates to the benches, from the amphitheatre to the stairs and children's play areas, every space touched by people received a fresh look with 6 colours from Filli Boya's 2025 colour palette. To support civil society initiatives and demonstrate commitment in corporate social responsibility, 20 Filli Boya employees also supported the painting work.

Call to public institutions 

Tayfun Küçükoğlu, saying they are rolling up their sleeves to include publicly accessible locations in the joy initiative that brings colour to life, stated: "Our goal is to spread hope and joy by increasing the number of coloured spaces. To encourage togetherness. For this reason, we particularly want to make a call to public institutions and local administrators. We want our rich product range, experience and expertise to benefit different spaces that bring people together. We are present with the same hope and excitement across all 81 provinces and 922 districts. We are ready to do this together with the designers we work with. We welcome those who want to participate. Within one year, taking into account weather conditions, design and other preparation time, we aim to transform many public spaces into points of hope and joy by colouring them with the year's colours."  

Following evaluation of incoming applications, Filli Boya aims to add "1 Colour of Joy to Life" by the end of 2025 using the year's colours across many different areas.
