Eco-Friendly PU Resins and PU and PVC Pigment Pastes

CanPlast, established in Istanbul in 1991, manufactures pigment pastes for the PU and PVC sectors. Growing particularly in the synthetic leather industry and a preferred company in Turkey, CanPlast has been the Turkey representative of HUAFON, one of the world's largest producers, since 2017. To briefly introduce Huafon; Zhejiang Huafon New Materials Co.,Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise specializing in research and development, production and sales. It has an annual production capacity of 550,000 tonnes. In recent years it has particularly manufactured solvent-free PU resin, water-based PU resin and PU resin products with very high solid contents. In doing so, it is pioneering the "Green Revolution" of the global synthetic leather industry in particular. I would like to briefly discuss HUAFON's environmentally conscious products.

1-) Water-Based PU Resin

Huafon's water-based PU resin contains no toxic organic chemical solvents. It is safe for human health and the environment. It can significantly reduce the environmental pollution caused by the synthetic leather industry. Synthetic leather produced with water-based PU resin is free from toxic residues and can meet high environmental protection requirements. Huafon's products made with water-based PU resin have high abrasion and scratch resistance. They demonstrate good air and moisture permeability. Additionally, they provide a genuine leather feel when touched.

2-) High Solids PU Resin

Solids content exceeds 90 percent. It contains no toxic organic chemical solvents. Thanks to this resin, synthetic leather can be used as a base through physical foaming, thus simplifying the production process and preventing DMF pollution. Its main characteristics are ease of use, ability to obtain high-ratio films, good abrasion resistance and imparting excellent physical properties to the product.

3-) Two-Component Solvent-Free PU Resin

Solids content is 100 percent. It contains no toxic organic chemical solvents. It is safe for human health and the environment. There is no need to add organic solvents during the production process. There is no need to use traditional adhesive resin in the synthetic leather production process. Its main characteristics are superior abrasion and scratch resistance, hydrolysis resistance, high elongation and flexibility capability and providing a genuine leather feel when touched.

CanPlast PU and PVC color pastes;

Our pigment pastes, developed based on our experience of more than 40 years in the polyurethane field, are designed for use in PU and PVC systems. Different binders have been used to meet the requirements of each system. CanPlast products have been specially developed and adapted for use in the relevant PU and PVC system. Careful selection of organic and inorganic pigments with high light fastness and excellent stability ensures complete coverage of the entire color spectrum. Upon request, other product adaptations that can be perfectly adapted to your products and processes can be developed by us at any desired time. Color pastes are produced for all PU systems.

The general characteristics of our PU and PVC pigment pastes, which we have developed separately for all systems, are briefly;

• Having high pigment concentration, • Heat and light fastness are high.
