Our Water-Based Polyurethane (PUD) Products

PURIN Polyurethane – our strongest advantage is our R&D system. We can summarize the main indicators of this in several points: • Having provided significant product diversity in the Polyurethane CASE field in a short period, • Bringing innovation to companies through customer-specific projects, • Delivering results quickly on our customers' product searches, • Ensuring customer satisfaction at the highest levels through project-oriented product development, • Our targets for innovative product groups, • Our targets for environmentally-friendly product groups. With this R&D capability, we scaled our innovative and eco-friendly Water-Based Polyurethane (PUD) Resin project to industrial scale starting in early 2018. We began selling our products for the following sectors, which were among our initial target areas. Furniture: Membrane Press Adhesive, Wood Coating Textiles: Textile Coating, Paint-Print Resin, Lamination Ceramics/Marble: Surface Coating and Water Insulation Footwear: Lamination Adhesive Paper: Lamination Adhesive Given our company's working approach of conducting one-on-one meetings with our customers to develop projects and because we have recently started PUD resin production, we planned 2018 to increase our product numbers. Our primary objective in this product group is to become an alternative to global manufacturers by producing customer-specific PUD Resin products for Turkey and regional countries, providing equivalents for the products they currently use, and offering rapid supply and technical support times.

From the customer's perspective, working with global manufacturers presents certain difficulties:

• Global manufacturers finding it very difficult to work on customer-specific products, • Requesting a certain monthly usage guarantee for work to be done for customers, • The sales team at local commercial partners presenting the product lacking expertise in the relevant product, • The difficulty of accurately communicating any problem or request to the manufacturer's technical team, • The manufacturer's technical team response time to the customer being insufficient.

As PURIN, we:

• Are a company that conducts special projects for customers and provides technical services for the product process, • In our projects, we are not dependent on usage quantities. We have experienced that when we support the customer with the appropriate product and appropriate timeframe, usage quantities increase, • Our sales team is as knowledgeable about every product we sell as our technical team, • We determine any customer request or problem directly by visiting with our technical team. These visits take place within 1-2 days at the latest, • Due to our location and working approach, our customer solution process moves very quickly. Because we have been able to overcome such challenges, we have begun to provide product quality and service quality that will make a difference in PUD Resin for Turkey and regional countries. Now we are working to ensure its continuity.

Some characteristics of our Water-Based Polyurethane (PUD) Resins are as follows:

• It is an environmentally-friendly product; its most important feature is that it is a polymer material dissolved in water. Unlike solvent-based products, it produces no odor, • It is a safe product; whether occupational safety or food safety, working with water provides advantages in many areas, • It does not yellow; due to its aliphatic structure, it does not yellow with UV light, • It is a high-performance product; it has performance at least equal to solvent-based high molecular weight resins, • It has low viscosity; one of its most important features is having high molecular weight with low viscosity. For example, consider a high molecular weight solvent-based product containing 35% solids with a viscosity of 150,000 cP. When you make the same performance product water-based, its viscosity will be around 300-500 cP. Working with low-viscosity water-based polyurethanes among products with the same performance is easier, • It has high solids content; synthesis of quite high solids products such as 60% with low viscosities is possible. In solvent-based systems, synthesizing the same performance products at 60% solids is both very difficult and impossible to use due to high viscosities, • Drying time is short; it is very difficult to dry products made with high polarity solvents such as DMF and DMSO outside an oven. Water has similar polarity with such products, but water-based polyurethanes dry faster under environmental conditions, • It is stable; it is stable over a wide temperature range and does not degrade As Turkey's most dynamic polyurethane production center, we are pleased to present water-based polyurethane resins, called next-generation products, with the PUD production technology we have developed.
