Nitrowise Kromavis is a global technology company with Italian, Turkish and Czech partnerships, specializing in industrial paints and coating booth process optimization. Over the years, it has developed specialized expertise in the use of nitrogen-enriched air in painting processes. Efficiency, reduction of environmental impact and cost savings are important considerations in the coating industry. In this context, one recent innovation involves separating nitrogen from the air coming from the compressor and incorporating it into the painting operation. This method positively affects various aspects of the painting process and has been integrated with Industry 4.0 technology. Regardless of different application and technology types (whether wet or powder coatings), solutions are provided to customers to optimize their processes in every area where compressed air is required. Support is provided to customers across many sectors including automotive, OEM, white goods, aerospace, marine, wood, plastics, aluminum and glass. The nitrogen painting method does not permit moisture due to the inert properties of nitrogen gas. Moisture can adversely affect paint quality and adhesion to the surface during the painting process. Nitrowise prevents moisture by using nitrogen, enabling paint to be applied in a more homogeneous and higher quality manner. To this end, instability caused by fluctuating temperature differences is brought under control through ATEX-certified heating and cooling systems, making it possible to apply at constant temperature throughout all seasons. In laboratory tests, the Nitrowise system demonstrated that the speed at which paint particles reach the surface is 7 m/s in spray application using air, while in application using nitrogen gas this speed was measured at 13 m/s. For example, in an application using normal air, when an atomization pressure of 6 bar and paint flow rate of 4 bar, 400 ml/min is used, a surface thickness of 40 microns is obtained. In the same application using Nitrowise, the atomization pressure was reduced from 6 bar to 4.5 bar, and the paint flow rate was reduced from 4 bar and 400 ml/min to 3 bar and 300 ml/min. As a result, the desired 40 micron thickness and improved surface quality were achieved. In this example, a saving of 25% was realized. The low moisture content and high velocity of nitrogen gas minimize paint waste even at the high pressures and flow rates of the designed system. At the same time, a higher quality surface is obtained by using dehumidified, dry gas. This not only provides savings but also contributes to reducing harmful gases released into the environment and lowering VOC (volatile organic compound) values. Nitrowise features Industry 4.0 technology; thanks to intelligent sensors and data collection units, the device's operating performance is continuously monitored and evaluated. This increases the efficiency of the device and makes maintenance processes more effective. As a result, nitrogen painting technology stands out as an effective technology for providing efficiency and savings in the coating industry while reducing environmental impact.
