Turkish Companies Dominate Stevie International Business Awards

The gala ceremony of the International Business Awards, recognized as the world's most prestigious business awards under the Stevie Awards, was held in Istanbul. Turkish companies, holding a total of 214 awards, made a mark on the event.

 

The International Business Awards® (IBA), one of nine programs under Stevie, among the world's leading business awards, was held for the 21st time this year. The gala ceremony held on 11 October, highlighting extraordinary performance in the global business world, brought together successful individuals and organizations from around the world to Istanbul. At the event attended by more than 450 people, awards were presented to 130 organizations from around the globe.

Under the IBA, known as the "Olympics of business," this year the most successful names of 2024, selected from more than 3,600 candidates from 62 countries and regions, were awarded. The winners of Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie® Awards in business categories such as management, customer service, human resources, marketing and technology were determined by an elite jury consisting of more than 300 executives. Since this year's ceremony took place in Turkey, many successful Turkish organizations participated in the gala event and were among the award winners.

Michael Gallagher, Chair and Founder of the Stevie Awards, congratulated the winners, stating: "The creativity, determination and innovation of the global business world inspire us anew every year. This year's winners represent the desire to lead in a complex and competitive world, setting new standards of success."

Halkbank receives 18 awards

Turkish companies made their mark on the 21st International Business Awards®. Halkbank, standing out for its success in banking innovation, digital transformation and customer service, also stood out at the award ceremony. Winning a total of 18 awards—11 Gold, 5 Silver and 2 Bronze—and achieving great success, Halkbank's competition jury commented on one of its projects: "It demonstrates leadership through its program creating more opportunities for women to join the workforce and fostering equal opportunities."

Atos Turkey IT & Consulting, Atos Customer Services and AgeSA won a combined 10 Stevie® Awards. Atos Turkey, standing out as a systems integrator and service provider offering innovative IT services in the areas of managed services, BPO, consulting and systems integration, big data and security, received the following assessment from jury members: "It demonstrates strategic excellence through remarkable international expansion under challenging conditions, seamless relocation, impressive growth and maintained service quality."

SOCAR Turkey among award winners

pladis, based in Istanbul, achieved great success by winning 7 Stevie Awards. pladis, which prioritizes employees in all applications it develops and attaches great importance to white-collar and blue-collar training in its factories, received awards in the categories of learning technology solutions, human resources and business technology solutions.

SOCAR Turkey, standing out as one of the country's largest integrated industries and its largest foreign investor with investments exceeding USD 18 billion, won a total of 5 Stevie Awards in categories such as business technology solutions, company of the year – energy, and financial success.

Among those winning multiple Stevie Awards are Belbim, Borusan, CarrefourSA and Watsons Turkey from Turkey, Cathay Financial Holdings Co., Ltd. Taipei City, Taiwan and Cathay United Bank from Taiwan, Condé Nast from New York, HCLSoftware from England, Mang Inasal and DDB Philippines from the Philippines, Monlove and Telus from Canada, Saudi Aramco company SOfPD from Saudi Arabia, Sandoz AG from Switzerland and Vanderbilt University from the United States.

Applications for 2025 to open in February

Under the IBA, which recognizes achievements in various areas such as new products, management, marketing and public relations, the complete list of this year's award winners can be accessed at http://www.StevieAwards.com/IBA. Standing out as the only comprehensive business awards program open to all sectors worldwide, the International Business Awards® are open to companies of all sizes. The 22nd edition of the IBA, under the Stevie Awards®, which receives more than 12,000 applications annually from more than 70 countries to honor successful business performance, is expected to open applications in February.
