Honeywell and Şişecam Announce New Partnership

Honeywell's Automation Technology to Accelerate Soda Ash Production for Şişecam's Global Glass Industry Operations.

Honeywell (Nasdaq: HON) today announced that Şişecam, a major global player in the glass and chemical sectors, will deploy Honeywell's Advanced Process Control™ (APC) technology. This technology will help optimize operations and support efficient soda ash production at Şişecam's Mersin facility. Soda ash, or sodium carbonate, is a fundamental compound used in various industrial processes including glass production as well as food and pharmaceutical industries.

Honeywell's APC technology is an innovative, software-based system that provides process optimization and real-time performance monitoring for industrial operations. Honeywell APC brings a layered approach to process optimization, helping companies like Şişecam maximize production, reliability and efficiency. It also focuses on optimizing intermediate compound production, reducing routine operator workload and lowering operational costs.

This new project builds on a long-standing business relationship between the two companies and supports Honeywell's portfolio alignment with three global megatrends including automation and energy transformation.
