ASAŞ Named Disability-Friendly Workplace of 2024
At the "Career and Employment Day for People with Disabilities" program organized by Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality and İŞKUR, an "Employer Friendly to People with Disabilities" plaque and a certificate of appreciation were presented to ASAŞ for its contribution to the employment of people with disabilities. ASAŞ was deemed worthy of this title for setting an example by exceeding the mandatory quota for the employment of people with disabilities.
At a "Career and Employment Day for Persons with Disabilities" event organized by Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality and İŞKUR, ASAŞ, which contributes to the employment of individuals with disabilities, was presented with a "Disability-Friendly Workplace" plaque and a certificate of appreciation. ASAŞ was deemed worthy of this recognition for setting an example by exceeding the mandatory disability employment threshold.
The ceremony, held at the Adapazarı Social Development Center, was attended by Sakarya Governor Rahmi Doğan, Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yusuf Alemdar, Adapazarı Municipality Mayor Mutlu Işıksu, Serdivan Municipality Mayor Osman Çelik, Provincial Health Director Kayhan Özdemir, Provincial National Education Director Coşkun Bakırtaş, Provincial Trade Director Emre Atmaca, chamber presidents, İŞKUR officials, business representatives and civil society organization representatives.
At the ceremony, the plaque was presented to ASAŞ by Provincial National Education Director Coşkun Bakırtaş. Governor Doğan emphasized that numerous legal regulations have been enacted since the 2000s to enable persons with disabilities to live more prosperously, and stressed the importance of conducting the necessary work to allow disabled citizens to lead their lives in social settings without needing help from anyone. Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alemdar stated that they aim for a barrier-free life through projects that will ensure the social integration of persons with disabilities.
In this context, ASAŞ provides employment opportunities for persons with disabilities in many different departments such as R&D, Quality, Production, Logistics, Administrative Affairs and Maintenance, offering various opportunities to increase their participation in the workforce.
ASAŞ creates suitable job positions for employees with disabilities in each department, supports their career development according to their abilities and potential, and implements projects to create a safe and productive work environment by making work environments accessible for their success in professional life.
Employees with disabilities wear special vests to work comfortably in the field, and a "buddy" is assigned to provide assistance in case of any risk, ensuring a safe working environment. ASAŞ, stating that there are no obstacles to work for them, supports all employees to share the same working environment and socialize by offering equal opportunities without any discrimination.
