Up to 60% Energy Savings in Buildings with Dalmaçyalı
With the approach of the winter season, energy efficiency in buildings and proper thermal insulation are gaining importance in terms of keeping energy costs under control. Dalmaçyalı İleri Isı Yalıtım Sistemleri draws attention to the potential for up to 60% energy savings in buildings, emphasizing the contribution of exterior facade thermal insulation to both budgets and the environment. The brand, which helps detect heat leaks and possible damage through drone and thermal camera-supported facade inspections, aims to increase the energy efficiency of buildings with solutions compliant with the renewed TS 825 standard.

With the increasing need for heating, natural gas bills are among the significant expense items in household budgets. While heat losses occurring in buildings increase energy consumption and costs, proper exterior facade thermal insulation stands out as one of the fundamental ways to increase energy efficiency. Dalmaçyalı İleri Isı Yalıtım Sistemleri offers solutions for the needs of different structures with its expertise of over 20 years.

Annual savings potential of 10-12 billion dollars
Exterior facades, which constitute one of the largest surface areas in buildings, are among the main areas where heat losses occur. While approximately 37% of the energy consumed in Türkiye is used in buildings, 80% of the energy consumption in these structures stems from heating and cooling needs. It is stated that approximately 70% of the energy used in the country is imported, and approximately 35% of this energy is consumed in residences and similar structures. There is an annual savings potential of 10-12 billion dollars if buildings are made energy efficient, especially through exterior facade thermal insulation.

Dalmaçyalı states that it has demonstrated through scientific analyses and research that up to 60% energy savings can be achieved in buildings. The performance of thermal insulation systems and the durability of components are measured through studies carried out at test houses in Gebze and Kayseri. Tests conducted at the Scientific Research and Education Center also contribute to the evaluation of the long-term performance of products.

According to the application examples shared by the company, in a project carried out in Erzurum, where winters are harsh, building residents achieved up to 60% savings on their bills. In a building in Marmaris, where air conditioning use is intense during the summer months, a decrease in electricity consumption was observed after thermal insulation. It is stated that the temperature difference between the north and south facades in buildings without thermal insulation can reach up to 8-10 degrees, and according to the measurements shared by Dalmaçyalı, this difference drops to a maximum of 1 degree in insulated homes.

147 billion TRY worth of natural gas savings through thermal insulation
In addition to the reduction in energy bills, thermal insulation is also important for the national economy and environmental sustainability. According to the data shared by Dalmaçyalı, the brand has carried out external thermal insulation (mantolama) applications exceeding 290 million square meters since 2003. Through these efforts, more than 3 million residences and over 12 million people have been reached.

It is stated that thanks to the applications carried out, 15.5 billion cubic meters less natural gas has been used, resulting in natural gas savings of 147 billion TRY at current values. In addition, it is stated that more than 33 million tons of greenhouse gas emissions have been prevented, an amount equivalent to approximately 24 times the annual carbon dioxide absorption of the Bolu forests.

Solutions compliant with the renewed TS 825 standard
With the update of the TS 825 Thermal Insulation Rules Standard for Buildings, it is aimed to increase energy efficiency in new buildings. With the new regulation, thermal insulation thicknesses are expected to increase by an average of 3-5 centimeters. By also taking cooling needs into account, it is aimed to reduce the energy consumed for both winter heating and summer cooling in buildings.

Dalmaçyalı states that it produces the main components of its exterior facade thermal insulation systems at its own facilities, in a mutually compatible manner. While offering system solutions compliant with the requirements of the renewed standards, the company also draws attention to the importance of proper material selection and professional application.

Facade analysis with drone and thermal camera
The long-term performance of thermal insulation is closely related to the quality of the materials used and the quality of application. Materials that do not comply with standards and faulty workmanship can cause problems such as separation on the facade, flaking, heat leaks, and swelling and staining caused by moisture.

Dalmaçyalı also offers technological inspection services for the maintenance, repair, and renovation needs of buildings with existing thermal insulation. In drone-supported exterior facade surveys carried out across Türkiye, the high and hard-to-reach sections of buildings are inspected. The Exterior Facade Technical Analysis Report, prepared based on data obtained with thermal cameras and technical measurement equipment, helps identify possible heat leaks and structural problems.

When the condition of the existing insulation is suitable, applying a new thermal insulation layer over the existing system can also be considered in buildings where the application thickness is below regional standards. In this way, it is aimed to improve the building's energy performance.

Free survey opportunity in 81 provinces
Pointing out that approximately 70% of buildings in Türkiye do not have adequate thermal insulation, Dalmaçyalı states that energy losses can also be reduced in structures such as workplaces, hotels, hospitals, and schools in addition to residences.

The brand enables the calculation of estimated energy savings that can be achieved in buildings through the Dalmaçyalı Energy Savings Analysis Report service offered on its website. In addition, it helps determine suitable thermal insulation solutions for buildings by offering free on-site surveys and technical evaluation services with expert technical teams in 81 provinces.
