Smart Melting System Vision and Next-Generation Adhesive Application System Robatech launched its energy-efficient new melting system Vision, developed for high-quality adhesive application, at a world premiere held online. The Swiss manufacturer developed an intelligent melting system featuring a space-saving design and numerous innovative characteristics for secure bonding of products and cost-effective operation. Alongside its new product, which attracts attention through its design and innovative features, the Swiss manufacturer continues to present the new dimension it has brought to adhesive application technologies, shaped by energy efficiency, quality and reliability. The new adhesive melting system Vision, combined with the hot adhesive hose Performa and the SpeedStar Compact application head, serves production sustainability goals while simplifying manufacturing processes for machine manufacturers and end users through its unique characteristics.

Smart Melting System Vision

Vision, with its launch motto, is "a completely new melting system that brings an entirely different dimension to the adhesive application process". Vision melts even challenging thermoplastic hot adhesives gently, maintains consistent adhesive viscosity and delivers hot adhesive to the application head at constant pressure. This significantly increases reliability and repeatability in high-precision adhesive applications. Moreover, Vision consumes 20% less energy compared to the previous Concept model. The Smart Panel eases operators' work. Current operating status and information are displayed via LED lights on the device in changing colors. The operator can remotely see whether the adhesive application process is running smoothly and when adhesive refilling is needed. Current pump pressure indication, status codes and four function buttons facilitate ease of use and rapid intervention. It is highly flexible in assembly and system integration. The device can be mounted vertically or horizontally: Operation is conducted via a touchscreen mounted remotely or optionally on the front or side. Hot adhesive hoses can be connected at different angles via the innovative FlexPort connection with a 45-degree angle, saving space. This provides customers with the flexibility to position Vision as close as possible to the application head and keep hot adhesive hoses short.

New Hot Adhesive Hose Performa

The new hot adhesive hose Performa is suitable for viscosities of 100 to 20,000 mPas and requires up to 45% less energy compared to traditional hot hoses such as Robatech's Enduro model. The PrimeConnect connection was developed with "plug-and-play" functionality to set up the hot adhesive hose smoothly during assembly without requiring special tools. This connection, insulated from end to end, reduces thermal bridges and heat loss. Additionally, adhesive viscosity remains constant at connection points on the melting system and at the application head.

Application Head SpeedStar Compact

The electric head SpeedStar Compact applies adhesive in millimeter-precise dots or short lines to carton flaps and lids and to small surfaces and materials. With its automatic stroke control feature, it is possible to achieve high-precision repeatable application results throughout the service life (500 million cycles).

New Dimension in Adhesive Application Through Modular Design

Robatech does not compromise on backward compatibility in its new products, as with its other products. Vision is compatible with all hot adhesive hoses and application heads manufactured in 2000 and later. Performa can be used in combination with Concept series melting systems with Enduro hot adhesive hoses. This gives customers the opportunity to retrofit existing systems gradually with energy-efficient system components and optimize adhesive application quality.
