New Method

Plastic and rubber material production equipment cleaning is highly time-consuming and costly, and production must be halted. Additionally, cleaning specialized production equipment with metal brushes damages the surfaces of these valuable materials. Now equipment such as extrusion and injection screws, molds and profiles can be cleaned faster and with greater precision. WIWOX ® DP BB Type blast cabinets use plastic granules to clean surfaces in a short timeframe. Small organic granules are sprayed onto the surface with pressurized air. Even thickened, difficult-to-remove layers can be removed quickly thanks to these soft, sharp-edged granules. The surface is not damaged in any way. This method can be used for all metal surfaces exposed to substances such as paint, plastic and rubber. Since the spray pressure is below 1 bar, work can be performed on the most sensitive surfaces without damage, even with different granules.

Advantages

In our WIWOX ® DP BB blast cabinets, the system is constructed from proven high-quality components because continuous operation is targeted to exceed expectations even during long uninterrupted working periods. The heart of this system is the automatic granule reader. During opening and closing of the pneumatic cylinder with pedal assistance, the granule flow jet automatically engages. The opening and diameter of the granule feed system operating in this manner can be measured precisely. This system provides repeatable precise granule projection. Impact speed and granule flow are highly precise and stable. These cabinet characteristics enable smooth operation and results. WIWOX® DP BB pressurized dry blasting method uses a 20-liter tank. This allows for very fast response times at blasting start and stop, resulting in low air consumption. Granules used during cleaning are collected by suction from the cabin and returned to use. This results in low granule consumption and consistent granule sizes. The cartridge filter and fan system within negative pressure creates a dust-free environment. The PLC-controlled automatic filter cleaning system operates during and after cabinet use. The negative pressure in the filter and dust bucket fill level can be monitored from the control panel display.

Cleaning and Blasting Granules

Cleaning high-quality equipment requires special abrasives. These abrasives are required to remove stuck dirt from the surface while not damaging the underlying surface. WIWOX ® KS blasting granules have been developed specifically to perform this task. Duroplast granules provide cleaning without surface damage through their cutting and lifting properties. Organic Blasting Granules 1. WIWOX Plastic

Stripping granule polyimide-based red and natural colored, thermoplastic product. Particularly for equipment with heat-curing and rubber-like materials, it ensures removal without damaging or dulling the underlying surface. Available in cylindrical or angular forms, with antistatic properties if desired.

2. WIWOX Plastic Urea & Melamine & Acrylic

Carefully selected from the raw material of heat-curing materials. Creates sharp-edged impact effect and is non-chemical. Addresses sectors working with materials similar to its own raw materials. Frequently used for precision cleaning operations.

3. WIWOX Walnut Shell

A soft granule. Recommended for precision cleaning operations. Corn cob and other organic granules can be supplied as requested.

4. WIWOX Wire Balls

This granule made of wires is cylindrical, oval and shaped, and is primarily used in stripping and hammering operations.
