DIY
Cores Kimya manufactures do-it-yourself (DIY) products for domestic and international markets. While the DIY sector has held a market position in the United States and many European countries for many years, it has been steadily growing in volume in our country in recent years.
Our products are manufactured based on the principle of adapting professional-quality products to simple home use through proper application methods. The aim here is to enable products used by professionals to also appeal to semi-professional and amateur users.
For this reason, product composition and packaging are designed with ease of application in mind, tailored to the simplest user. Our company's products are manufactured in compliance with world standards, particularly using water-based resins and technology.
This way, especially in home use and in enclosed spaces, odour and similar discomfort are kept to a minimum level. It is important that hands and/or equipment can be easily cleaned with water after use.
Our DIY sector products include Caulk Filler, Ready Repair Putty, Assembly Adhesive, Water Repellent, Wood Filler, Wall Putty and custom (private label) production according to companies' requirements.
CRS-500 Assembly Adhesive
CRS-500 Assembly adhesive, although designed for the DIY sector, is a water-based adhesive also suitable for professional use. Its most important feature in semi-professional and home use is that it is ready to use compared to equivalent powder-type adhesives on the market. Being ready to use especially for tiles, ceramics, polystyrene wall coverings and cardboard-type flooring, requiring no mixing and having no pot life, provides numerous advantages. Instant grip is prominent as an ease of use feature. For tile-on-tile applications, tiles can be easily applied onto the tile on the base surface from any desired point without requiring any intermediate layer or different application method. Bench-top or decorative glass mosaic applications can be easily performed by non-professional users. Indoor decoration materials, such as marble or wood-look polystyrene embossed coverings, can be easily adhered with CRS-500 as wall decoration. In cultured stone applications, stone decorations such as bricks can be installed without requiring professional personnel and equipment.Product Description
CRS-500 is a water-based assembly adhesive based on a modified polymer blend.Applications
Polystyrene and other thermal insulation boards, wooden panels, door and window trim, baseboards, wainscoting, acoustic panels, ceramics, tiles, cardboard flooring, PVC/wood cornices and similar materials are used in bonding, assembly and repair work. It adheres to concrete, wood, metal, EPS, XPS, polyurethane foam, glass, stone, leather, sponge and many other materials.Advantages
• Can be used indoors and outdoors, • Solvent-free, • High initial tack strength, • Instant grip, no slippage, • Resistant to ageing and weather conditions, • Allows both spot and strip application, • Paintable, • Odourless, • Adjustments possible within the first 15 minutes.Application
Application requires ambient temperature above 5°C. Surfaces to be applied must be clean, free of dust and grease. The adhesive is applied as dots or strips to the material to be bonded or to the base surface. Application thickness is determined according to the weight of the material to be bonded. After the adhesive is applied, it must be pressed firmly and supported if necessary. As a precaution, heavy and stressed parts should be secured for 24 hours. Applied parts must be protected from contact with water for 24 hours after application. It is sufficient if one surface of the materials to be bonded is absorbent. CRS-500 has very high initial tack/instant grip. Because it is water-based, complete curing occurs after the water in it evaporates. This period is 12-24 hours depending on ambient temperature. Increasing ambient temperature can shorten the complete curing time. Çağlayan Gün / General Manager / Cores Kimya Ltd. Co.Advertisement
