Tamirart EP

Epoxy-Based Repair, Anchoring, Assembly Mortar.

Description

An epoxy resin-based, two-component, solvent-free, thixotropic structural adhesive, repair, anchoring and assembly material.

Application Areas

Application Instructions

• The material should be allowed to stand at room temperature (23 ±3°C) for 1 day before application. At low temperatures, an increase in consistency may be observed in the material. • Ensure that the surface to be applied is dry and has a maximum moisture content of 4%. Application should not be carried out under dew point conditions. • In adhesive applications, the surface should be clean and free from construction debris, oil, paint, rust, dirt and dust that would prevent adhesion. • For applications on surfaces such as concrete and stone, loose and weak areas should be completely removed from the surface. • For applications on metal surfaces, the surface should be free of rust and any material that would prevent adhesion. • For applications on surfaces such as PVC, CTP, ceramic, glass, the material surfaces should be primed with Tecnica 142 and application should be carried out while the primer is still wet. • Before starting application, protective gloves and preferably safety glasses should be worn. • When preparing the mixture, component B should be added on top of component A and mixed with an appropriate mixer at 400-600 rpm until a homogeneous mixture is obtained and the color of the mixture becomes uniform gray. • No additives not specified in the application instructions should be added. • The prepared mixture should be consumed within 30 minutes. Mixture that has exceeded the pot life or hardened should be discarded. • Immediately after application, tools should be cleaned with water or solvent-based cleaners. If the material hardens on the tools, cleaning can only be done by mechanical methods. • The maximum application thickness in a single layer should be 30 mm.

Warnings

• The work area should be well ventilated during application. • Gloves, safety glasses and mask should be used during application. • In case of contact with skin and eyes, wash immediately with plenty of water. • For more detailed information, consult the Safety Data Sheet. • Do not mix the material with water or solvent. • Excess material on the surface should be cleaned immediately before hardening. Otherwise, it will need to be cleaned mechanically.

Then the powder component C should be slowly added on top of the liquid mixture and stirring should continue until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. • No additives not specified in the application instructions should be added.

Rebar Installation

• Holes for rebar installation should be drilled 10 mm larger than the minimum rebar diameter (Ø+10 mm). • The inside of the drilled holes should be cleaned with air or a brush so that no dust remains that would prevent adhesion. • The holes should be filled with prepared Groutart EP and the rebars to be installed should be inserted into the holes by rotating. • Care should be taken that the mortar slightly overflows from the holes, and the overflowing mortar should be cleaned and the area around the rebar leveled. • Immediately after application, tools should be cleaned with solvent-based cleaners. If the material hardens on the tools, cleaning can only be done by mechanical methods.
