Lauroyl Lysine is an important ingredient in the formulation of quality sustainable cosmetics. Lauroyl Lysine was created as a result of excellent collaboration between raw material distributor Milano Colori/Italy and chemical synthesis services company Eurokemical/Europe. • Produced through chemical synthesis starting from natural raw materials (plant-based). • The production process does not involve the use of gluten. • Lauroyl Lysine 3L product has not been tested on animals to meet the requirements of international regulations.
Components
• Lauric Acid (55.8%) – Natural Origin • L-Lysine (44.2%) – Natural Origin The product is an amide obtained through the synthesis of lauric acid, a plant-based saturated fatty acid, and L-Lysine, an essential amino acid obtained through fermentation, and holds COSMOS certification approved by ECOCERT GREENLIFE. Since Lauroyl Lysine meets all sustainability criteria, it is a good alternative to microplastics which have negative effects on the environment. Its areas of use can be listed as follows: • Makeup: Foundation, eyeshadow, blush, lipstick, powder... • Skin care: Sunscreen, moisturizing serums, body and face creams, masks. • Hair care: Shampoos, hair creams, styling products. • Texturizer: By increasing viscosity, it enriches the texture of products and gives them consistency. • Lubricant: It has a very low coefficient of friction, thus producing smooth powders and emulsions that distribute homogeneously. • Hydrophobic Adhesive: Because it is a highly hydrophobic molecule, it improves product adhesion to the skin and provides water resistance. • Antistatic: When used in powders and emulsions, it reduces the accumulation of electrical charge resulting from friction. When used in hair care products, it compresses the hair structure, making it smoother, shinier and easier to comb. When used in detergents, it makes them softer and more delicate, while increasing foam volume and quality, creating a thick emulsion that makes the skin softer and silkier. • Humectant: Its structure allows for moisture regulation, reducing damage caused by powder-based cosmetics. • Surface Treatment: It plays an important role in coating micas, pigments, talcs and other powders to obtain a smoother product with a softer effect on the skin, and reduces their friction. Lauroyl Lysine is not listed on the allergens list of Cosmetic Directives. It does not contain the substances specified in the table and these substances are not used in the production process.
