Greenquat® BT, Hair Conditioner Greenquat® BT is a water-soluble, moisturizing hair conditioner derived from natural and advanced-conversion raw materials. Greenquat® BT is available in water-soluble form and is a unique hair conditioner compatible with transparent anionic surfactant systems. It is obtained from 100% vegan and 100% natural sources. It has excellent moisturizing, softening and hair-detangling properties. It does not add weight to hair, facilitates wet combing and reduces frizz. Suitable for palm-free formulations. Greenquat® BT can be used in shampoos, hair creams and cleansing lotions. In addition to hair care products, it provides a silky feel in body care products. Usage %

0.25 - 0.5% as a silicone replacement with antistatic effect, 1.0 - 5.0% for cationic hair cream effect.

Tests

• Leaves a conditioned and moisturized feel on damaged hair, • Improves dry hair detangling and dry combing compared to conventional 'quats' (CTAC, BTAC) (Chart 1), • Maintains high color intensity (Chart 2), • Reduces static electricity. Greenquat® BT exhibits in vitro bacteriostatic and bactericidal activity against S. aureus, S. epidermidis, C. albicans, E. coli, P. aeruginosa and A. brasiliensis strains. The product is more effective against P. aeruginosa and C. albicans, which show higher sensitivity compared to other strains. Greenquat® BT exhibits bacteriostatic and bactericidal activity against M. furfur, P. acnes and S. epidermidis, three of the cutaneous strains most associated with dandruff.
