FoamOut Mineral Oil-Based Foam Cutters
As is well known, mineral-oil-based defoamers are the most preferred choice in water-based paints and coatings production. Compared to silicone-based defoamers, they carry much lower risk of causing surface defects in paint. Their effects on paint adhesion to surfaces are also much lower than silicone-based products.
Since a large portion of their composition consists of mineral oil, these products—referred to as "mineral-oil-based" or "mineral-oil-active"—have their performance determined by additives that define how the mineral oil will behave when entering the foam-breaking environment.
The amounts and types of emulsifiers in the defoamer composition are among the key factors that determine the droplet size of the emulsion created when mineral oil enters an aqueous medium, which essentially determines the fundamental character of the defoamer. With the supporting effect of other hydrophobic additives, the defoamer achieves its final performance.
However, the defoamer's character alone does not determine how effectively it will break foam. The formulation of the product in which the defoamer will be used and the production process are also of vital importance. Some defoamers work very effectively in high-PVC paints while others exhibit optimal performance in low-PVC paints.
To obtain the most effective foam-breaking performance, the defoamer should be selected in a way that best suits the formulation in which it will be used. However, due to market conditions, some paint manufacturers tend to use a single defoamer product across all their formulations.
These manufacturers either prefer products that perform averagely across all formulations, or they purchase a defoamer best suited to the formulation they produce most and use that product in their other paints as well. 1-) MP 7000
100% mineral-oil-based standard product. Contains no silicone. Does not separate during storage. Compatible with all water-based binders. It is specially designed to maintain its effectiveness at the highest level not only during paint production and filling but also during surface application. It can be used not only in paints but in all water-based productions where the use of silicone-based defoamers is undesirable.Characteristic Properties

100% mineral-oil-based specialty product. Designed for systems where stubborn foam formation occurs. Especially preferred in high-viscosity systems. Contains no silicone. Does not separate during storage. Compatible with all water-based binders. Can be used not only in paints but in all water-based productions where the use of silicone-based defoamers is undesirable. Thanks to its low viscosity, it diffuses easily into the system and shows rapid action.Characteristic Properties

45% mineral-oil-based product. It is in emulsion form because it contains water. Contrary to the common belief about emulsion defoamers, it definitely does not separate during storage.
