Our DENSURF Journey

Denge Kimya, which has operated in the textile chemicals sector for 25 years, has consistently been a significant player in the industry through its differentiating solutions. With strategies built on silicone and polyurethane, along with TUBITAK projects that evolved into mid and high-technology products, the company has made substantial progress in both textile chemicals and non-textile fields. The DENSURF journey also resulted from the gradual commercialization of these projects. The beginning of our story goes back to 2016, when project teams were formed to prepare for entry into new sectors: water, agriculture and paints. During this process, a six-month study was conducted taking into account parameters such as sector analysis, the gap in domestic manufacturers, alignment with Denge Kimya strategy, and our production and R&D capabilities. The outcome of these studies resulted in the creation of a new business area within specialty chemicals. At the end of 2016, during brand studies, it was decided to develop our product group in this business area under the DENSURF brand. When creating the DENSURF brand, care was taken to evoke both Denge Kimya and surface chemistry.

Denge Kimya R&D Team

Parallel to the process of bringing DENSURF to life was another process: the establishment of the R&D Center. As of December 2016, Denge Kimya was certified by the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology as the 'Denge Kimya Innovation and Science Center'. Denge Innovation and Science Center is the 18th company certified as an R&D center in chemistry, ranking 308th in Turkey. • R&D (Synthesis) Laboratory, • Textile Laboratory, • Instrumental Laboratory, • Specialty Chemicals Application Laboratory. The Specialty Chemicals Laboratory commenced operations in 2018 to support R&D activities under the DENSURF brand and meet customer needs. Based on the requirements of the paints sector, we would like to share some of the projects we focused on in 2019 and express that we are open to collaborations. • Development of dispersing agents providing high gloss, • Development of high-performance air release and air entrainment agents for epoxy systems.

As in well-managed companies, the most important input to our R&D Center is skilled human resources. Each of the DENSURF product groups is managed by doctorate-level specialists in their respective fields.

The foundation of DENSURF's rapid success lies not only in the competencies of the R&D specialists working within the project scope, but also in the value Denge Kimya places on its employees and the dedicated work pace of the project specialists.
