Highlights of the Week at Zorlu PSM

At Zorlu PSM this week, mor ve ötesi, one of rock music's most important acts, are breaking their silence in Istanbul with their first concert following a major stadium show on 28 May, performing on 30 December evening at Zorlu PSM Turkcell Sahnesi. Meanwhile, acclaimed theatrical and musical productions of the season including Amadeus, Scenes from a Marriage, Alice the Musical, Dust, Jekyll & Hyde and Crocodile Fire are meeting their audiences for their final performances of 2022.  

"Tight Comedy with Can Şengün"

At Zorlu PSM touché, in the "Tight Comedy with Can Şengün" programme, Can Şengün this time examines Sıla's life from angles we have never previously considered. In the programme where new versions of well-known songs will be performed together with Sıla; audiences will hear from the accomplished musician Sıla the true stories behind the song lyrics and moments that have not been erased from memory. "Tight Comedy with Can Şengün", featuring dances, games and previously unseen competition segments, welcomes Sıla in its new episode on Monday 26 December at 21:00 at Zorlu PSM touché. Alice the Musical

"Alice in Wonderland", written by Lewis Carroll and translated into 174 languages to date, standing as one of literature's unique masterpieces, continues its performances as a contemporary musical adaptation under the direction of Serdar Biliş and choreography by Beyhan Murphy. Alice the Musical, which first opened its curtain on 7 February 2019 and won the "Haldun Dormen Special Award" and Best Choreography Awards at the 23rd Afife Theatre Awards, is experiencing the excitement of meeting audiences again in the new season. Playing to packed houses at Zorlu PSM, Serenay Sarıkaya appears as "Alice" to audiences, while Ezgi Mola plays the "Queen", Enis Arıkan the "Rabbit", Şükrü Özyıldız the "Hatter", İbrahim Selim the "King", and Merve Dizdar the "Cat". Crocodile Fire

Crocodile Fire, with lead roles shared by Funda Eryiğit, Hazar Ergüçlü and Kubilay Tunçer, tells the turbulent story of two sisters living at opposite poles with their father. The play, directed by Mehmet Ergen, was among the best plays at the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe Theatre Festival. 1989, Northern Ireland… In a loveless home, the surreal, grotesque story of rebellious Fianna (Hazar Ergüçlü), who served 8 years in prison with a disabled father, and her devout sister Alannah (Funda Eryiğit), whose pace never slows for a moment. Amadeus

"Amadeus", written by Peter Shaffer, tells the unique story of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonio Salieri, unforgettable composers in world music history, and continues its new season performances. The play, which meets theatre lovers through the direction of master director Işıl Kasapoğlu with collaboration between Çolpan İlhan-Sadri Alışık Theatre and Piu Entertainment, has lead roles shared by Selçuk Yöntem (Antonio Salieri), Tansu Biçer (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart) and Dilan Çiçek Deniz (Constanze Weber). Amadeus, one of the season's most talked-about productions with a total crew of 55 people including 35 on stage and 20 behind the scenes, and which sells out all tickets at every performance, won awards in Marketing and Advertising thanks to its unique clickable font character, a world first. It is the first and only theatrical play to receive these honours with 6 "Crystal Apple" and 4 "Felis" awards, and gained international success by winning an award in the "Logo" category at the "ADC 100th Annual Awards". At the XX. Inter-directorate Audience Awards, our Director Işıl Kasapoğlu was awarded Best Director, Selçuk Yöntem Continuous Excellence, Çolpan İlhan & Sadri Alışık Theatre and Piu Entertainment Best Production, across 3 categories. Quiz Night

Quiz Night with İbrahim Selim is returning to meet contestants after a brief break. In the competition where multiple-choice questions will be asked across art, general knowledge, sports, history and many other fields, surprise gifts are distributed to winners. Played entirely through analog methods in a rather intimate setting; contestants attempt to answer the questions İbrahim Selim poses to them on stage within the given time, together with their friend groups that they have formed.
