CerModern, preparing to celebrate its 15th anniversary as a locomotive of the art world, will host a special exhibition offering a profound journey through the philosophical dimensions of art. The Ercan Arslan exhibition titled "Ambiguous Polarities / Dilemma and Balance," curated by Burak Fidan, opens at CerModern on 9 November and meets with art enthusiasts. As the opening event of the exhibition, a discussion will take place at 14:00 on 10 November with the participation of the artist.

In his exhibition titled "Ambiguous Polarities - Dilemma and Balance," the artist embarks on an exploration of existential questions and emotional contradictions through art by delving into the depths of the human spirit. While Arslan's works fragment figurative forms and present a deconstructive aesthetic, they offer viewers a perspective beyond the ordinary. In his paintings, not only figures but also the complexity of human nature, ambiguities and contradictions are felt powerfully. The exhibition's curator Burak Fidan brings this multi-layered structure in Arslan's works to the fore, aiming for viewers to establish a deep connection with the works. As noted in Burak Fidan's curatorial text, "The artist brings together the contradictions questioned through the concepts of voids, polarizations and ambiguities in the paintings in this exhibition, within the framework of the characteristic properties of the materials used, through the harmony-disharmony of works of different dimensions."

Ercan Arslan not only presents a visual narrative in his works, but also reveals the human search for identity, existential dilemmas and spiritual complexity. In the artist's works, the fixed gaze of the figures' eyes draws viewers in an almost hypnotic manner. Through these eyes, the viewer finds an opportunity to question their own existence while also entering a process of reassessing their relationship with the outside world. The blue background frequently used in Arslan's works symbolizes tranquility, while the orange and red tones reflecting the figures' inner turmoil demonstrate how skillfully the artist addresses the dilemmas in human nature.

The exhibition offers viewers not only an opportunity to encounter art, but also a space to confront themselves and the most fundamental questions of human nature.
