Support Project for Agriculture in Hatay from KÜAD

KUAD (Cosmetics Manufacturers and Researchers Association) has taken an important step in social solidarity and post-disaster recovery efforts by implementing a joint project with Buğday Yaşamı Destekleme Derneği to revitalize the agricultural sector in Hatay.

In the project where products produced by farmers in Hatay during the 2024 summer agricultural season were purchased by KUAD, food products were purchased alongside products produced by farmers that can be used in cosmetics manufacturing. Through this collaboration, communication was established between agricultural producers and cosmetics manufacturers, opening the way for potential future partnerships.

OBJECTIVE: REVITALIZE AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION, SUPPORT FARMERS

Plants grown in our country's soil hold a very important place in cosmetics production. KUAD, which emphasizes the importance of organic cosmetics production using products produced by our farmers, expanded this initiative to support farmers in Hatay. In the project conducted with Buğday Yaşamı Destekleme Derneği's "regenerative agriculture" approach, KUAD aims to revitalize agricultural production and provide economic support to local communities, thereby contributing to the sustainability of agricultural activities in Hatay. Products produced by farmers in Hatay were purchased by KUAD management and sent to members and solution partners. In this way, economic support was provided to earthquake-affected farmers while enabling them to regain their production capacity.

Through the project conducted in collaboration, progress has been made toward overcoming post-disaster difficulties and rebuilding society, while awareness of social solidarity has been created. 

A special note signed by KUAD Board of Directors was also included in shipments to members and solution partners, calling on everyone for support in healing the wounds of the earthquake and completing the recovery process.
