Kastamonu Entegre Achieves a First in Turkey

Kastamonu Entegre, Türkiye's leading and the world's fourth-largest producer in the wood-based panel sector, ranking third in Europe, is taking its approach to developing environmentally friendly and sustainable products a step further.
Kastamonu Entegre, the leading wood-based panel manufacturer in Turkey, Europe's third-largest and the world's fourth-largest producer, is taking its commitment to environmentally friendly and sustainable product development a step further.
As an example of ecodesign approach, the company has developed PureBoard, a particleboard produced with 100 percent bio-based adhesives for the first time in Turkey, initiating a transformation in living spaces. This innovative 100 percent recyclable product, distinguished by its formaldehyde-free (NAF) structure and bio-based adhesive technology, stands out for its environmentally and health-conscious design.
PureBoard plays an active role in combating climate change
PureBoard, developed by Kastamonu Entegre with environmental sustainability at the forefront, contributes to the protection of natural resources by reducing fossil fuel consumption. The 100 percent bio-based adhesives used in production, with their low carbon footprint, play an effective role in combating climate change. This innovative particleboard, which supports the circular economy, offers an ideal option for those who prefer environmentally conscious and healthy living.
This special particleboard, which carries the NAF (No Added Formaldehyde) standard demonstrating that formaldehyde is not used in the production process and that emission levels are equivalent to natural wood emissions, offers the lowest emission values compared to conventional boards, improving indoor air quality. With 100 percent bio-based adhesives in its composition, PureBoard has the lowest emission levels compared to traditional particleboards, contributing to increased LEED ratings and presenting a strong option in terms of using environmentally friendly materials.
Innovative solutions for every need
PureBoard, meeting sustainability requirements in many areas such as furniture manufacturing, interior decoration and store design, is offered with sanded or decorative surface options with melamine coating on both sides, adapted to different needs.
PureBoard YL (Particleboard), produced as raw particleboard, offers an ideal option for non-load-bearing applications in dry areas, while PureBoard MFC, produced as melamine-coated particleboard, meets aesthetic requirements with different decor and surface options. Standing out for its easy workability and practical assembly advantages, PureBoard can be produced in thicknesses ranging from 12 to 25 mm.
PureBoard, providing sustainable, healthy and functional solutions in furniture and interior design, sets a new standard in the sector by focusing on circular solutions and bio-based products. With this approach, Kastamonu Entegre prioritizes environmentally friendly production understanding while also shaping the future of the industry.
