Nippon Paint Brings Two Awards to Turkey at CCA and AYDA International Awards

Turkey won two awards at the final of the Creative Colour Awards (CCA) and AYDA International Awards, organized by Nippon Paint and held in Bangkok—one in the professional design category and one in the student category. Kontra Mimarlık's "Epoca Restaurant" project took first place in the CCA, while Istanbul Technical University student Sinem Göl received the "Best Design Impact" award in the AYDA competition.

Nippon Paint, among the world's leading paint manufacturers, held the international final of the Creative Colour Awards (CCA) and Asia Young Designer Awards (AYDA) competitions in Bangkok as part of its global corporate social responsibility programs.

The organization brought together professional architects and designers with young talent on the same platform, recognizing innovative approaches to color use and future design concepts.

Six Turkish Projects Reached the Final
This year, the Creative Colour Awards, which promotes creative use of color in architectural and interior design, received 248 project submissions from 19 countries and regions. While 56 projects from Turkey participated in the competition, six of the 16 projects that made the shortlist were created by Turkish design teams.

Among the Turkish projects that reached the final were Bureau Interiors, Designist, Kontra Mimarlık, Office Istanbul Architects, Studio 13 and Superpool.

In the competition, the Epoca Restaurant project, realized by Kontra Mimarlık, won first place in the "Best Corporate and Commercial Interior Design" category.

Color's Role in Design Takes Center Stage
Nippon Paint Global Marketing Leader and Deputy General Manager Responsible for Betek Marketing Arzu Uludağ stated that the Creative Colour Awards highlights not only aesthetic achievements but also projects that use color as a fundamental element of design.

Uludağ expressed that the competition provides architects and designers with an opportunity to present their innovative ideas on an international platform.

AYDA Awards Turkey with "Best Design Impact" Prize
The AYDA International Awards, organized by Nippon Paint since 2008, aims to bring together young architect and interior designer candidates on an international scale.

This year, the competition, held under the theme "Convergence: Creating Cultural Legacies," brought together over 9,000 students from 17 countries.

Sinem Göl, an Istanbul Technical University student representing Turkey, won the "Best Design Impact" award with her project "Industrial Alchemy: Kinesis State of Memory."

Supporting Design and Color Culture on a Global Scale
Through the Creative Colour Awards, Nippon Paint aims to make color-focused projects by professional architects and designers visible, while through the AYDA program it also supports young designers in gaining international experience and meeting with industry professionals.

The joint final held in Bangkok emerged as one of the important organizations that brings together the professional design world and the architects and interior designers of the future on the same platform, strengthening knowledge sharing and collaboration in the global design ecosystem.
