Novartis Oncology Turkey and Eczacıbaşı İlaç Pazarlama A.Ş. Sign Cooperation Agreement Novartis Oncology Turkey and Eczacıbaşı İlaç Pazarlama A.Ş., which operates with 350 employees in hospital products, dermatology, urology, gastroenterology, pediatrics, consumer health and oncology, have signed a joint cooperation agreement focused on patient care and operational efficiency. Under the agreement; Novartis Oncology Turkey granted Eczacıbaşı İlaç Pazarlama A.Ş. the temporary sales, promotion and distribution rights for 3 products in the treatment areas of acromegaly, NET, GIST, CML and lung cancer (with licenses remaining with Novartis) in Turkey and Northern Cyprus as of 1 August 2019. Speaking at the signing ceremony held due to the cooperation between the two companies, Pınar Üstündağ, General Manager of Novartis Oncology Turkey, stated that they implemented this cooperation in order to manage business processes in a more focused manner and further increase patient access to innovative products. Üstündağ continued as follows: "As Novartis Oncology, we continue our operations to develop and provide innovative oncology drugs to meet the medical needs of patients with cancer and related diseases. In this context; we have one of the largest portfolios globally with nearly 20 products for more than 25 diseases in the fields of oncology, hematology and rare diseases.

In line with the increasing need for development and added value in the pharmaceutical sector every day, we evaluate our responsibility in this field through cooperations for targeted improvements in public health, support for employment, the national economy and R&D capacity.

With awareness of this responsibility, we support this vision through our local production projects as well as new cooperation agreements. In this direction, as Novartis Oncology Turkey, we believe that this strong cooperation we have implemented with Eczacıbaşı İlaç Pazarlama A.Ş. will provide significant contributions to patients in the coming period. With our agreement regarding the temporary granting of sales, promotion and distribution rights for our 3 products in the treatment areas of acromegaly, NET, GIST, CML and lung cancer, we will adopt a focused approach in our business processes."
