**New Appointment at İzocam**

Murat Savcı was appointed General Director of İzocam Ticaret ve Sanayi A.Ş. effective 3 February 2020. The company has operated in Turkey's insulation sector since 1965 and has been a partnership between France-based Saint-Gobain Groupe and Kuwait-based Alghanim Groupe since 2006. Born in Adana in 1967, Murat Savcı graduated from Tarsus American College in 1985 and from Istanbul Technical University's Civil Engineering program in 1990. Between 1991 and 1994, he completed a master's degree in construction economics and law at Dortmund Technical University in Germany, where he also served as a teaching assistant in the field of building physics during the same period. Savcı began his career in Germany in 1994, holding Project Manager positions at various German companies and construction groups between 1994 and 2005. He returned to Turkey in 2005 and served as General Manager of the construction company he founded between 2005 and 2007. From 2007 to 2012, he held the position of General Manager for Turkey at Baumit, an Austria-based firm. Between 2012 and 2019, Savcı served as Chairman of the Board at Koramic Yapı Kimyasalları A.Ş., and during the same period held the positions of Board Member and Vice President responsible for Group Companies at Koramic Chemicals NV, a Belgium-based global industrial group. Savcı served as a member of the İZODER Board of Directors between 2009 and 2017. He is married with one child and is fluent in English and German.
