Dow Appoints New Executive in Turkey

Dow has made a new senior appointment in Turkey. Durmuş Topçu, who held various management positions during his 23-year career at Dow Turkey, has been appointed President of Dow Turkey and Central Asian Republics. Durmuş Topçu is a graduate of the Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Faculty of Architecture and holds a master's degree from the ITU Institute of Science. Joining Dow in 1997 as Technical Manager in the Dow Building Solutions business line, Durmuş Topçu held a series of leadership roles in industry organizations and developed new regulations for the insulation market. He subsequently took on a new role as Application Development Manager at Dow Germany. Returning to Istanbul in 2002, he was appointed Sales Manager at Dow Building Solutions and contributed to the company's establishment in Turkey. He also served as a board member in the MARDAV Joint Venture in Turkey. In 2010, Durmuş Topçu was appointed Regional Sales Manager for Dow Construction Chemicals Eastern Europe business line and Sales Director for India, Middle East, Africa and Turkey (since 2014). Since 2017, he has been leading the Dow Construction Chemicals India, Middle East, Africa and Turkey (IMEAT) team. Durmuş Topçu continues in his roles as President of Dow Turkey and Central Asian Republics, Regional Sales Director of Dow Construction Chemicals IMEAT, and member of the Dow Middle East, Africa, Turkey and India leadership team.
