The "Liderlikte Kadın Yüz’ü" (Woman's Face in Leadership) Program, led by Zorlu Enerji, has completed its first term. The program, which brought together 100 young women aged 18–35 from across Türkiye, concluded with trainings, mentorship meetings and inspiration gatherings.
Implemented in line with sustainability principles and the Eşit Bi'Hayat (Equal Life) approach, within the framework of the Akıllı Hayat 2030 (Smart Life 2030) vision, the "Liderlikte Kadın Yüz’ü" Program aims to support women's participation in decision-making processes and to make their potential in business life more visible. Throughout the 5-month first term, participants were offered comprehensive content focused on personal, managerial and professional development.
20 Sessions and 405 One-on-One Mentorship Meetings
Within the scope of the program, modules were delivered to enhance young women's competencies in critical areas such as leadership, financial literacy, sustainability, entrepreneurship, personal branding, career development, innovation and change management.
In a process focused on social and sectoral solidarity, the key performance indicators and activities that stood out were as follows:
Trainings and Gatherings: A total of 20 sessions were held, including 12 trainings ranging from finance to personal branding, 4 Sisterhood Gatherings supporting peer learning, and 4 Inspiration Gatherings.
Mentorship Process: Participants conducted a total of 405 one-on-one meetings with mentors from different sectors and areas of expertise, creating their career roadmaps.
Measurable Impact: While the participants' average perception of their own leadership potential was 2.89 out of 5 at the beginning of the program, this rate rose to 4.16 by the end of the term.
"Role Models and Solidarity Networks Are of Critical Importance"
Sharing her assessment of the process, Zorlu Enerji CEO Elif Yener stated that they prioritized increasing the representation power of women in business life and society:
“The results we obtained in the first term of the Liderlikte Kadın Yüz’ü Program once again demonstrated the importance of development and solidarity spaces that support the leadership potential of young women. As a woman leader, I believe that role models, solidarity and opening spaces that support development are just as important as knowledge and experience in the development of leadership.
It is extremely valuable for young women to become aware of their own potential from the very beginning of their career journeys, to form strong bonds through which they can share experience, and to draw strength from one another. Young women who joined the program from different cities reinforced their gains in leadership, communication, personal development and career journeys not only through the trainings they received, but also through one-on-one meetings with experienced mentors. The program contributed to participants developing their leadership skills, revealing their potential more strongly, and approaching their career goals from a more conscious perspective.”
