Adil Sani Konukoğlu Re-elected as Chairman of TÜRKÇİMENTO

At the 68th Ordinary General Assembly of TÜRKÇİMENTO, the umbrella organization of the cement sector, incumbent Chairman of the Board of Directors Adil Sani Konukoğlu was re-elected Chairman. The Association's 2025 performance was reviewed at the General Assembly.
Adil Sani Konukoğlu was re-elected as Chairman at TÜRKÇIMENTO's 68th Ordinary General Assembly, the umbrella organization of the cement sector. The Assembly reviewed the Association's 2025 performance.
Speaking at the General Assembly held on 12 February, Konukoğlu paid tribute to former Chairman Fatih Yücelik, who died recently in a tragic traffic accident, saying: "We will always remember our valued colleague Fatih Yücelik's contributions to our sector and Association with respect. Our most important responsibility is to advance this structure he built with the same determination and commitment."

In his remarks, Konukoğlu highlighted the strong position of the Turkish cement sector on a global scale, noting that Turkey consistently maintains its position as the world's 5th largest producer and 2nd largest exporter. Emphasizing that TÜRKÇIMENTO represents approximately 94% of the sector, Konukoğlu stated that this structure is the strongest indicator of the industry's capacity for institutional unity.
At the General Assembly, Konukoğlu noted that 2025 data would be released shortly, saying: "The sector continues to advance in a balanced manner during this period." Pointing out that earthquake housing and urban renewal projects are driving domestic demand, Konukoğlu expressed expectations that growth in the construction sector will continue into 2026.
At the General Assembly held following the opening remarks, Chairman Adil Sani Konukoğlu was re-elected to the position of Chairman by unanimous vote.
