Turkish Cosmetics Industry Targets European Market

The Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters Association (İKMİB) organized the "Stamegna Milano Cosmetics Sector Trade Mission" in Milan, Italy, targeting the cosmetics sector. Within the scope of the mission, a total of 458 bilateral business meetings were conducted with the participation of 62 Turkish and foreign companies.

The Turkish cosmetics sector organized a mission to Italy following Portugal. The Stamegna Milano Cosmetics Sector Trade Mission, organized by İKMİB between 23-26 February 2025 in Milan, Italy, was successfully completed. Accompanied by İKMİB TIM Delegate S. Özgür Öztürk and organized to protect the European market and increase exports, the mission included 9 companies operating in the Turkish cosmetics, perfumery and beauty sector.

458 bilateral business meetings held
In order to maintain and increase market share in Europe, which is the most important market for our country's exports, significant contacts were made at the trade mission held in Milan under the main organizer Stamegna. During the event held between 23-26 February 2025, Turkish companies presented various cosmetics products such as skincare products, personal care products and perfumery to buyers.

Within the scope of the three-day organization, at the event held with the participation of approximately 36 foreign chain stores, meetings were held with a total of 53 companies, both with purchasers in Italy and from other European countries. At the event, which aimed to contribute not only to Italy-focused exports but also to increased regional exports, a total of 458 bilateral business meetings were conducted.

Cosmetics exports to Italy increased by 18.5% in 2024
Italy's global imports of cosmetics and cleaning products over the past 5 years have ranged between USD 4.3 billion and USD 5.5 billion.

Turkey's total exports to Italy in the cosmetics and cleaning products sector in 2024 amounted to USD 38.7 million. Exports in the said sector increased by 18.5% compared to 2023.

Turkey's total exports to Italy in the cosmetics and cleaning products group have shown an upward trend over the past 3 years, and in 2024 it accounts for 0.29% of total exports to Italy.
