Mavi Launches "Adım Eşitlik" Awareness Campaign for International Women's Day on 8 March

Mavi employees pledge to take 1 billion steps for a more equal world and invite everyone to join this movement.

On International Women's Day on 8 March, Mavi invites everyone to participate in the awareness campaign called "Step Equality". Through the health and wellness application Helpsteps, the steps taken will be donated to the Women's Labor Appreciation Foundation (KEDV), which empowers women facing opportunity inequality. With this campaign, the brand aims to amplify the power to mobilize society to millions and raise awareness about gender equality. Starting from the Mavi ecosystem, the campaign will grow, with an initial target of 1 billion steps.

Mavi CEO Cüneyt Yavuz said the following about the project: "As Mavi, on International Women's Day on 8 March, we are launching the 'Step Equality' awareness campaign. With our 5 global headquarters and approximately 6,000 employees across our 480 stores, we have pledged to take 1 billion steps for a more equal world and donate our steps to KEDV through our partnership with Helpsteps. 

Our colleagues, who already walk thousands of steps every day in our stores, allow us to feel the power of the field as we head toward this ambitious goal. Moreover, we invite millions who can walk this long journey with us. As a brand that makes a difference in the business world with 60% female employees, 53% female managers and 50% female representation on the board of directors, we will continue to take decisive steps on gender equality in society." 

To double the donation amount
The brand, which plans to include its customers, stakeholders and business partners, as well as all Mavi supporters, in the awareness campaign starting with Mavi employees, pledges to double the donation amount corresponding to the steps taken over 3 months. More steps mean more support.
