TİM President Gülle: "Trade Between the Two Countries Will Reach a Stronger Level"
Ismail Gülle, Chairman of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), stated that the removal of visa requirements for Turkish citizens and truck drivers traveling to Russia for business, approved by Russian President Putin, will add a new dimension to trade between the two countries.
Chairman Gülle said the decision would provide a critical opportunity for Turkish exporters in Russia, one of Türkiye's most important markets, to seize and accelerate new business opportunities and export connections. "Russia is one of Türkiye's most important trading partners.
Visa-free travel will positively impact trade between the two countries. As we have emphasized at every opportunity, trade development will strengthen friendship and peace between the countries on one hand, while contributing to the welfare of the people of both nations on the other.
Our trade with Russia will develop in multiple directions. I believe it will have very positive repercussions for our exports."
Noting that the nature of trade is directly related to businesspeople's freedom of movement, Chairman Gülle concluded his remarks as follows: "Visa-free travel will also expand our business volume with Russia.
Furthermore, it will accelerate opportunities for strategic cooperation with Russia. I hope this practice will lead to positive steps and changes from our EU friends on the same matter. Let this be auspicious."
