TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle hosted the TİM Delegates Workshop in Istanbul, where 450 delegates from different regions of Turkey, representing TİM's 83,000 exporters, gathered for the second time. At the workshop, attended by Treasury and Finance Minister Berat Albayrak and Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan, the problems and demands of exporters were heard. TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle stated: "As exporters, we are the fighters at the front lines. As field representatives of Turkey's trade diplomacy, we are aware of how important every 1 dollar we bring to our country is. Nevertheless, the records broken by our exports naturally bring new needs in their wake. In short, exports are a living organism; as it grows and rises, new problems that need to be solved emerge every day."The second TİM Delegates Workshop was attended by 450 delegates representing TİM's 83,000 members from different regions of Turkey. The workshop drew considerable interest. Exporters had the opportunity to share their problems and communicate them to government officials.

"Strengthening Capital is of Great Importance"

TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle stated in his remarks: "As exporters, we are the fighters at the front lines. As field representatives of Turkey's trade diplomacy, we are aware of how important every 1 dollar we bring to our country is. Nevertheless, the records broken by our exports naturally bring new needs in their wake. In short, exports are a living organism; as it grows and rises, new problems that need to be solved emerge every day." Pointing out that significant progress has been made in financing, particularly thanks to Eximbank, Gülle said: "However, we unfortunately do not see this in commercial banks. On the contrary, in other banks, we encounter practices such as increased credit interest rates and reduced collateral requirements. Today, when even states use financing in addition to own resources for important projects, it is clear that our exporters struggling to export need access to financing. The economic attack that the Turkish economy faced on 10 August once again demonstrated the importance of export financing. Although high interest rates are the most important obstacle ahead, the support provided by public banks to exports is commendable. However, strengthening their capital is of great importance. Increasing support for exports through Eximbank and public bank channels will give courage to the entire banking sector," he said.
