Schneider Electric and Borusan Cat Announce Strategic Partnership

Schneider Electric and Borusan Cat are collaborating on electric vehicle charging solutions, taking on an important role in the transformation of the construction machinery and power systems sector.

Schneider Electric, a leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, and Borusan Cat, a leading brand in construction, mining, energy and manufacturing sectors, have signed an important partnership agreement. Having worked as partners globally and in Turkey on numerous projects for approximately 19 years, Schneider Electric and Borusan Cat decided to collaborate on electric vehicle charging solutions (EVC-DC) as of the third quarter of 2024.  

Over the past 19 years, the two companies have successfully implemented projects in medium voltage products and solutions (cells, transformers), low voltage products, software and Blokset Panel solutions. Through this new partnership, Schneider Electric and Borusan Cat will play an important role in the electrification transition of construction machinery.

Creating synergies in sustainability and energy efficiency 

Walid Sheta, Regional President of Schneider Electric Middle East and Africa, commented on the matter, noting that they provide a wide range of charging station systems and software to meet the needs of different customer profiles for electric vehicles, and expressed his satisfaction with the partnership direction taken with Borusan Cat. Stating that beyond the EVC-DC collaboration, they are discussing potential partnerships around digitalization, electrification and sustainability, Sheta continued: 

"Through our partnership with Borusan Cat, we aim to add value to the comprehensive service network offered to Borusan Cat's customers with our product and software solutions. At the same time, we plan to further develop this strategic partnership by benefiting from their experience in the business lines and models where Borusan Cat is strong. This partnership will significantly expand our reach to end users while creating synergies in areas prioritized by the sector such as sustainability and energy efficiency."

Supporting transition to electric construction equipment and hybrid marine vessels

Özgür Günaydin, Chairman of Borusan Cat's Board of Directors, made the following statement regarding the partnership:
