Pirge Ranks Top with Exports to 85 Countries

With 147 years of experience and exports to 85 countries that brought Turkish cutlery to global recognition, Pirge has once again won the Metallic Star of Exports Award based on its 2025 export performance.

Pirge earned first place in the Stainless Steel Kitchen Knives category at the 2025 Metallic Star of Exports Awards through its contribution to the 13.5 billion dollar exports achieved by the Istanbul Iron and Non-Iron Metals Exporters Association (İDDMİB) in 2025. At the awards ceremony held on 12 February at Renaissance Polat Istanbul Hotel, attended by Deputy Minister of Commerce Ö. Volkan Ağar and Turkey Exporters Council (TİM) Chairman Mustafa Gültepe, Pirge Commercial Director Sedat Yamansucu and Pirge Global Sales Manager Mustafa Doğanay accepted the award on behalf of Pirge.

"We want to increase the export share in total turnover over the next five years"
Pirge Commercial Director Sedat Yamansucu stated: "As Pirge, we are proud to carry our 147-year-old tradition of sharpness, corrosion resistance and design excellence beyond our country's borders with the exports we increase each passing day. Furthermore, while our exports bring foreign currency into our country's economy, knowing that we contributed to the 13.5 billion dollar exports achieved by İDDMİB, one of Turkey's leading exporter associations, in 2025 increases our satisfaction. With our exports in 2025, we have won the Metallic Star of Exports Award again this year. As of today, we export to 85 countries. We maintain our consistent targets as we gradually increase the number and share of our exports. While entering new countries and markets with our product lines offering solutions for different markets is among our short-term objectives, over the next five years we aim to significantly increase the export share in our total turnover. Entering markets we have not previously accessed, such as the United States, the Far East and the United Kingdom, are also among our priority export targets for the future."

Pirge's established history came to life when Mehmet Pirge started a small knife workshop in Bursa in 1879. The foundations laid that day through Mehmet Pirge's passion for knife craftsmanship have grown into 147 years of experience led by fifth-generation representatives and professionals, a large family of 250 employees. Today Pirge, at its 12,000 m² modern production facility in Bursa, prioritizes quality and innovation while producing approximately 1,200 types of knives ranging from professional chef knives, butcher knives and pastry knives to Far Eastern knives, doner and lakerda knives, and blades to cleavers. Producing knives and cutting tool supplies for all kitchens, whether for professional or home use, at the highest quality with the most modern technologies, Pirge continues to develop Turkey's cutting tools sector through its daily production exceeding 20,000 knives, annual production of over five million knives, and exports to 85 countries.
