Kimpur Publishes 2024 Integrated Report

Kimpur, Türkiye's leading polyurethane systems house, has published its fifth report. The company, which has been reporting regularly for five years—the first two years in sustainability report format and the last three years in integrated report format—prepared this year's report under the theme "A world where tomorrow is shaped not by climate, but by consciousness." Prepared in accordance with the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) Standards "Core" option and the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) framework, the report transparently presents the company's environmental, social and economic performance for the period 1 January – 31 December 2024, along with its future targets, to its stakeholders.

Kimpur, Turkey's leading polyurethane systems company, has published its fifth report. The company, which has been reporting regularly for five years—with the first two years as a sustainability report and the last three years in integrated report format—prepared it under the theme "A world where tomorrow is shaped by knowledge, not climate." Prepared according to GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) Standards "Core" option and the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) framework, the report transparently presents the company's environmental, social and economic performance for the period 1 January – 31 December 2024 and its future targets to stakeholders.

The selected theme draws attention to the fact that climate change is not merely an environmental matter but also an area of responsibility requiring strategic decisions. Kimpur identifies risks related to the climate crisis, evaluates these risks through scenario analyses and shapes its action plans accordingly. This approach is grounded in a concrete framework through the 2030 Climate Change Roadmap prepared, while presenting a comprehensive strategy in areas such as emission reduction, energy efficiency, sustainable product management, waste management and supply chain management.

Concrete Targets and 2024 Results
Kimpur has set a target to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emission intensity per unit by 33 percent by 2030. In line with this, although there was an 8 percent increase in production volume in 2024, total emission growth was realised at only 0.5 percent. Emission intensity per unit decreased by 6 percent compared to the previous year. On the energy management side, a reduction of 22 percent in energy consumption intensity per unit by 2030 is planned. Thanks to energy saving projects undertaken, this intensity decreased by 7 percent in 2024 compared to the previous year. Carbon footprint calculations have been completed for 69 percent of the product portfolio based on sales volume, and within the scope of decarbonisation projects conducted with international partners, one SAYEM (Industrial Innovation Network Mechanism) and one European Union project application were submitted in 2024.

Progress has been made on targets set in the social sphere regarding equality and employee engagement. While the target is to keep the ratio of female employees from falling below 40 percent, the ratio realised at 38 percent in 2024 increased to 45 percent in 2025. In the 2024 survey conducted by Happy Place to Work, employee engagement score increased to 83 and a 3-point increase was achieved compared to the previous period.

Progress was also made in supply chain and stakeholder relations. Environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance of 16 percent of critical suppliers was measured, while assessments for sustainable supply chain management continue. On the economic front, the target is to double sales volume by 2028 compared to the base year 2022. In line with this, sales volume showed a 48 percent increase in 2024 compared to the previous year. In digitalisation, investments in 2024 increased by 68 percent compared to the previous year.

Our Aim is to Create Long-Term Value
Kimpur CEO Cavidan Karaca, drawing attention to the importance of climate change today and its future impact, said: "In 2024, we identified risks related to the climate crisis and planned our actions accordingly. Besides this, our employees' happiness, our social contributions, our ethical values and our economic growth targets also form an integral part of our sustainability approach. Our aim is to create long-term value in environmental, social and economic areas by building a resilient structure in line with sustainability principles."

All these efforts are regularly monitored by the Sustainability Committee within Kimpur and progress is shared transparently with stakeholders each year. The report sets out the determination to make sustainability an integral part of the way the company operates and the roadmap of targets set in this direction.
