Three Senior Appointments at Abdi İbrahim

Abdi İbrahim, the uninterrupted leader of the Turkish pharmaceutical sector for 23 years, has further strengthened its strong team with three key appointments. As of September 2025, Burak Levent has taken up the position of Specialty Marketing and Sales Director, Cem Acarsoy has become International Markets Strategy and Business Development Director, and Esra Erbilgin has started as Gastro Surgery and Hepatology Division Director.

Abdi İbrahim, the uninterrupted leader of the Turkish pharmaceutical sector for 23 years, has further strengthened its experienced team with three key appointments. As of September 2025, Burak Levent has taken office as Director of Specialty Marketing and Sales; Cem Acarsoy as Director of International Markets Strategy and Business Development; and Esra Erbilgin as Director of Gastroenterology Surgery and Hepatology Division.

Burak Levent – Director of Specialty Marketing and Sales
A graduate of Boğaziçi University's Mechanical Engineering programme and holder of an Executive MBA from the same university, Burak Levent began his career in 2000 at Bosch.

In 2007, he served as Strategic Planning Manager at Eczacıbaşı Holding.
In 2010, he joined Eczacıbaşı-Monrol and led international growth and facility investments.
Between 2017 and 2024, he held senior positions in strategy, business development and operational excellence at Nobel İlaç.
In 2025, he served as General Manager of GeneriNobel GmbH, overseeing European operations.

In his new role, Levent will lead Abdi İbrahim's strategic growth objectives in specialty areas and innovative marketing approaches.

Cem Acarsoy – Director of International Markets Strategy and Business Development
A graduate in Economics and Politics from Franklin & Marshall College and holder of an Executive MBA from Boğaziçi University, Cem Acarsoy began his career at Braun Consulting.

He held consulting positions at Booz Allen Hamilton and IMS Health.
In 2010, he joined AstraZeneca Turkey and led the development of new commercial models in Turkey and Eastern Europe.
Between 2017 and 2020, he served as Director of Business Development and Licensing at Sandoz.
Between 2020 and 2024, he served as Director of Business Development and Market Access at Sanovel, overseeing the company's growth and global expansion strategies.
In 2025, he took on the role of Director of Strategy and Business Development at Biofarma.

At Abdi İbrahim, Acarsoy will support growth strategies in international markets and pioneer the development of new business opportunities.

Esra Erbilgin – Director of Gastroenterology Surgery and Hepatology Division
A graduate in Economics from Koç University, Esra Erbilgin began her career in 2005 at Eczacıbaşı-Baxter Hospital Products.

In 2013, she moved to Eczacıbaşı İlaç Marketing and led the Marketing and Sales team.
Between 2019 and 2021, she served as Business Unit Director at Johnson & Johnson MedTech.
From 2021 onwards, she took on the role of Director of Marketing and Sales at Haver Farma.

In her new role, Erbilgin will direct strategic objectives in the Gastroenterology Surgery and Hepatology field and drive the implementation of innovative practices in marketing processes.
