IKMİB Cosmeet Asia Vietnam Sectoral Trade Delegation Successfully Completed

The Istanbul Chemical Substances and Products Exporters Association (İKMİB) successfully completed the Cosmeet Asia Vietnam Cosmetics and Cleaning Products Sectoral Trade Mission held in Vietnam between 1–5 December 2025, aimed at establishing new business connections in the South Asian market and increasing export potential.

This year's third Cosmeet Sectoral Trade Mission organized by İKMİB took place in Vietnam. During the Cosmeet Asia Vietnam Cosmetics and Cleaning Products Sectoral Trade Mission held in Ho Chi Minh City from 1–5 December 2025, a total of 264 bilateral business meetings were conducted. In line with the strategic importance of South Asia for Turkey's exports, the event brought together 20 Turkish firms with 45 foreign buyers based in Vietnam. In addition to bilateral business meetings, export opportunities in the Vietnam market and across the region were evaluated under the program.

R. Alper Erdil, Acting Director of the Chemistry, Soil and Health Industries Department of the Turkish Ministry of Trade, Uğur Adıyaman, İKMİB Board Member and Head of the Cosmetics, Cleaning Products and Private Label Committee, and S. Özgür Öztürk, TİM Delegate, visited the mission and held comprehensive discussions with the firms. The event evaluated the current status of the sector in Vietnam and the South Asian region, target market strategies, and the gains the mission provided to the firms.

Three trade missions held on three different continents under the Cosmeet brand this year
The Cosmeet Sectoral Trade Missions organized by İKMİB for the cosmetics and cleaning products sectors were successfully implemented in three different regions in 2025. Following the first Cosmeet Australia mission held in Australia from 21–27 June 2025, the second mission, Cosmeet Latam, took place in Panama between 31 August–6 September 2025. Finally, the third mission was successfully completed as Cosmeet Asia in Vietnam from 1–5 December 2025.

Adil Pelister: "Our Cosmeet programs play a critical role in the global growth of the Turkish cosmetics and cleaning products sector"
İKMİB Board Chairman Adil Pelister noted that the mission held in Vietnam offered an important opening for exporters and stated: "Our cosmetics and cleaning products sectors have shown a strong upward trend globally in recent years. The Vietnam and South Asian market holds a strategic position in this growth. Through our Cosmeet Asia Vietnam mission, we provided our firms with the opportunity to get to know the region closely and establish lasting business partnerships. The sectoral trade missions we organized under the Cosmeet brand this year across three different continents are making important contributions to our exporters achieving a stronger position in global competition. Looking at the data for exports to the Vietnam market for 2024 and the first 11 months of 2025, we see that exports of cosmetics and cleaning products reached USD 1.9 million in the first 11 months of 2024 and USD 1.8 million in the first 11 months of 2025. Given the potential in the regional market, we believe that increasing trade missions to distant markets will have a positive impact on exports. As İKMİB, we plan to increase our sector's international visibility in 2026 by organizing sectoral trade missions and buying missions to target markets."
