A Rising Star of Stable Export Growth: The Cosmetics Sector The "5th International Cosmetics, Personal Care, Detergent and Home Care Products Components, Raw Materials and Technologies Fair", which serves as one of the most important meeting points of the sector bringing together international players in Turkey's Cosmetics, Personal Care and Cleaning Products Components field, is preparing to host participants and visitors at Istanbul Fair Centre on 25-27 May 2022. CHCI, Turkey's first and only cosmetics and home care components fair, developing rapidly in the cosmetics and cleaning products sector, will continue its mission of serving as an important bridge between producers and buyers by hosting many domestic and foreign companies in 2022. The "5th International Cosmetics, Personal Care, Detergent and Home Care Products Components, Raw Materials and Technologies Fair" Cosmetics & Home Care Ingredients (CHCI), organized by Artkim Fuarcılık, which plays an important role in the growth of Turkey's Chemical Industry through numerous national and international projects implemented for the chemical sector and its sub-sectors, is preparing to bring together sector professionals at Istanbul Fair Centre between 25-27 May 2022. "Cosmetics & Home Care Ingredients 2022" fair, which will also host many special areas and event programs, will start simultaneously with the fair and invite participants to a different experience through the 'Fragrance and Taste Workshop' where perfumers and fragrance experts will conduct workshops on perfume-making techniques.
Specialized fairs continue to contribute to exports
The cosmetics, personal care, detergent and home care sector, with a size of TRY 26.4 billion, grows by an average of 10% annually depending on economic developments in Turkey. According to data in the İKMİB sector report, the Turkish cosmetics industry, which achieved USD 656.2 million in exports in the first half of 2021 with a 13.09% increase compared to the same period of the previous year, exports to nearly 200 countries. In light of these figures, particularly targets to increase export volume to markets in Iran and the Middle East have significantly increased the interest of companies operating in Turkey's cosmetics and home care products sector in specialized fairs, which play an important role in establishing new business connections and entering new markets.
Three-day rich conference and panel program
Within the Conference Program to be held simultaneously with the fair, through presentations by experts from the country and abroad under more than 10 titles, fair visitors will have the opportunity to gain information about participating companies and universities' latest products, formulations and technologies. The panel titled "Sustainable Cosmetics in Different Dimensions" will discuss the effects and contributions of sustainability, which ranks among priority issues in the world and in Turkey, to the cosmetics sector.
Digital experience sharing with next-generation fair approach
The CHCI Fair, which hosted 69 direct participants and 3,375 visitors most recently in 2019 before the pandemic, had attracted intense interest from the sector with its Innovation Corner showcasing the most innovative products, Product Formulation Area where prototype products were prepared, Fragrance Workshop where direct fragrance tests were conducted, and Conference Program featuring sector experts. In 2022, CHCI Fair, aiming to enrich the fair experience with many innovations, will provide long-term communication opportunities for both participating companies and visitors through a virtual fair platform that will open upon completion of the physical fair and remain accessible for 3 months. With allArtkim Mobile, the sector's first proprietary application to be launched before the fair, CHCI 2022 aims to provide visitors with a more efficient fair experience. Additionally, technical and commercial conferences organized by sector experts in the fair area will be broadcast live simultaneously on the Turkchem TV YouTube channel, reaching thousands of sector professionals and listeners.
