IC Holding Takes Data Center Technologies to Global Markets

IC Holding has signed a new collaboration in the data centre sector targeting global-scale technology exports. Under the memorandum of understanding signed with Future Enerji and Japanese technology giant Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, data centre solutions developed in Turkey are planned to be brought to international markets.

IC Holding, with over half a century of experience in construction, energy and infrastructure, has taken an important step at international scale in the data centre sector. Under the memorandum of understanding signed between IC Holding, Future Enerji and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, the development of Turkey-based data centre projects and the transfer of the resulting technological model to global markets are targeted.

Data centres, which have become one of the fundamental building blocks of the digital economy, have transcended their role as mere data storage facilities to become strategic infrastructure that determines countries' technological independence and competitive strength. With rising data traffic and the advancement of artificial intelligence technologies, IC Holding aims to contribute to Turkey's digital infrastructure future through this strategic collaboration.

Turkey's engineering expertise to be brought to global markets
Within the scope of the agreement, in line with the collaboration established between IC Holding and Future Enerji with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries; artificial intelligence-focused and high-efficiency data centre investments are planned to be implemented in Turkey, Europe and the Middle East.

Projects are being designed to scale from modular structures to hyperscale data centre dimensions, while investment and implementation timelines will be structured accordingly to these scales.

The model to be developed within this scope and termed "Joint Solution" is aimed at providing solutions to data centre investments in markets such as the United Arab Emirates, Spain and Finland in an initial phase. The model is planned to evolve into a globally scalable solution package over time.

Can Çaka: "We will bring Turkish engineering strength to the global arena in data centres"
In his comments on the collaboration, Can Çaka emphasised that data centres are among the strategic infrastructure of the digital economy.

Çaka stated the following in his explanation:
"As data becomes the most valuable strategic asset today, the data centres that process and protect this data are indispensable fortresses of the digital economy. In this period when global data traffic is rapidly increasing, investing in sustainable and secure data centre infrastructure is not only a technological necessity, but also our country's responsibility to build its digital future."

Noting that IC Holding is transferring its long-standing engineering and infrastructure experience to data centre investments, Çaka stated that the integrated solution model to be developed is targeted for implementation across a wide geography stretching from Europe to the Middle East.

End-to-end integrated technology model
Within the scope of the collaboration, an integrated solution model will be developed for mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, which are the most critical components of data centres.

In this model;

-Mitsubishi Heavy Industries' modular system design and global experience in critical equipment procurement,

-IC Holding's construction and infrastructure strength,

-Group affiliate Treysan's modular system manufacturing capability,

-and Future Enerji's investment and project structuring approach will be brought together.

Supporting domestic production is also among the key priorities in projects employing advanced technologies ranging from emergency generators to high-efficiency industrial cooling systems.

IC Holding aims to place sustainability and operational excellence criteria at the centre of data centre investments in line with this approach.
