Hexcel to Acquire ARC Technologies

Hexcel Corporation (NYSE:HXL) announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire ARC Technologies, Inc., a supplier of specialized RF/EMI and microwave absorbing composite materials used in military, aerospace and industrial applications. This acquisition strengthens Hexcel's existing advanced materials portfolio in structural composites and thermoplastics, offering new opportunities for growth and market expansion. Founded in 1988, ARC Technologies is a privately held company with approximately 170 employees operating out of two facilities in Amesbury, Massachusetts. The company has extensive expertise in RF/EMI and microwave absorbing materials production and specializes in the use of proprietary polymer resins in the manufacture of various primary structural materials, including structural composites and thermoplastics, as well as absorbing metallic filler components including carbon, iron and nickel-coated graphite.
