GEBKİM OSB Receives Prestigious Award from TİSK for LCAMP Project

GEBKİM Kimya İhtisas OSB, an exemplary chemistry ecosystem adding value to Turkey's economy, was recognized with an award for the LCAMP Project at the Shared Futures Awards Ceremony organized by TİSK to reward and promote corporate social responsibility initiatives.

The Learner-Centred Advanced Manufacturing Platform LCAMP draws attention with strong collaboration developed with project stakeholders and innovative objectives. GEBKİM Kimya İhtisas OSB Board of Directors Chairman Vefa İbrahim Aracı received the award for GEBKİM from Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz at the ceremony held.

The "Shared Futures Awards Ceremony" was held by the Turkish Confederation of Employer Associations (TİSK) to recognize corporate social responsibility projects. The ceremony was attended by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Minister of Labour and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan, TİSK Board of Directors Chairman Özgür Burak Akkol, Board Members, union representatives and award-winning project owners. This year, approximately 100 institutions from the public sector to the private sector, from civil society organizations to educational institutions submitted around 300 projects. At this prestigious awards ceremony, 26 projects in 8 different categories were awarded based on jury and public voting results.

GEBKİM Kimya İhtisas OSB, which stands out with projects that shape the future of the chemical industry, was recognized with an award in the "Together It's Possible" category for the LCAMP European Union project, in which it participates as a project partner. GEBKİM Kimya İhtisas OSB Board of Directors Chairman Vefa İbrahim Aracı received the award for GEBKİM from Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz at the awards ceremony held in Ankara.

In the "Together It's Possible" category of the TİSK Shared Futures Awards Ceremony, projects that produce innovative solutions for the country, society and workers and implement them in cooperation with different stakeholders were recognized with awards.

Learning Factory to be established with LCAMP

The LCAMP (Learner-Centred Advanced Manufacturing Platform) Project, prepared under the leadership of Spanish TKNIKA with the aim of establishing a sustainable platform in advanced manufacturing technologies in Europe, is being carried out by a consortium of 20 partners from 10 countries, including European countries and Canada, and is gaining momentum with the support of 65 partners. While LCAMP is supported by the European Commission under ERASMUS+, GEBKİM Kimya İhtisas OSB and GEBKİM MTAL represent the chemical industry in Turkey's component of the project.

LCAMP, which started in 2022 as a long-term project and will run for 4 years, will be a pioneering implementer of new learning approaches such as Learning Factory (LF) by promoting collaboration with an innovative vision in vocational education and training. As a result of international cooperation activities to be carried out throughout the project, regionally active vocational education institutions will lead the way in digitalization and green transition.

GEBKİM Kimya İhtisas OSB Board of Directors Chairman Vefa İbrahim Aracı stated that equipping qualified human resources, one of the fundamental building blocks of the economy, with the knowledge and competencies required by the times is of great importance, and said that the EU-supported LCAMP Project aims to contribute to this transformation through innovative implementations.
