Senior Appointment at Zorlu Enerji

Elif Yener assumes CEO role at Zorlu Enerji effective 1 January 2025. 

Yener, who has held various management positions at Zorlu Group since 2011, will hand over her role to İbrahim Sinan Aktan, who has served in key positions within Zorlu Group for nearly 25 years, with the last 8 years as Zorlu Enerji CEO. After joining Zorlu Enerji in 2014, Yener successively served as Finance Group Manager and Finance Director, and has successfully held the position of Finance General Manager at Zorlu Enerji since 2019. Effective 1 January 2025, she will assume the CEO position at Zorlu Enerji.

Elif Yener becomes Zorlu Enerji's first female CEO

Commenting on the matter, Zorlu Holding CEO Cem Köksal, said "I express my gratitude to İbrahim Sinan Aktan, whom I have worked alongside since 2000 and who, during his 8 years as CEO of Zorlu Enerji, made significant contributions to the major transformation that took place there, for his innovative approach and commitment to sustainability. About Elif Yener

Elif Yener graduated from the Industrial Engineering Department at Boğaziçi University in 2004 and worked in project finance at Denizbank between 2004 and 2010. In 2011, she completed her MBA programme at Columbia University in the United States and joined Zorlu Group the same year.

Appointed as Strategy and Business Development Manager in 2012, Elif Yener took on the roles of Finance Group Manager and Finance Director at Zorlu Enerji Group from 2014 onwards. She has served as Finance General Manager at Zorlu Enerji Group since 1 July 2019.

Yener is a member of the Integrated Reporting Turkey Network (ERTA) and is a signatory to the CFO Principles for Integrated ESG Investments and Financing published by the CFO Coalition within the UN Global Compact.

Elif Yener is married and is the mother of one daughter.
