Tarık Akbaş emphasized the need to renew Europe's electrical infrastructure: "A significant portion of Europe's electrical infrastructure has been operating with outdated equipment for over 40 years, and this situation poses a serious risk to energy supply security. According to European Commission reports, approximately EUR 584 billion in investments in electrical infrastructure is planned by 2035. As EKOS Electric, we understand that this process requires not only investment but also technological transformation. The rapid increase in renewable energy sources highlights the critical importance of energy storage solutions to ensure system continuity and provide uninterrupted energy. The power outage experienced in Spain last year demonstrated how vital infrastructure renewal and energy integration are."

Tarık Akbaş emphasized that digitalization in energy infrastructure is no longer a choice but a necessity: "To safely and uninterruptedly manage increasing renewable energy generation, grids must become smart, monitored and remotely manageable. AI and data analytics-driven digital solutions significantly reduce outage times while offering billions of dollars in efficiency potential. Energy is now transported not just by copper cables but also by data, and grids that cannot catch up with this transformation will be unable to meet future energy needs."
Mobile and Underground Transformer Centers for Energy Supply Security
Akbaş, noting that they were pioneers in implementing Turkey's first underground transformer center, stated: "Overhead transformer centers are no longer preferred in European city centers. Countries such as Italy, Germany, France, Spain and the United Kingdom use underground transformer centers. EKOS Electric responds precisely to these global needs; with mobile transformer centers, underground transformer units and flexible infrastructure systems, we do not just sell products, we build the infrastructure of energy transformation. In Turkey, our underground transformer center solutions have been used at many important locations, from Eskişehir Odunpazarı to the Galata Bridge in Karaköy, and to Mevlana Square in Konya. Electric vehicle use is increasing rapidly worldwide; approximately 20.7 million electric vehicles were sold in 2025, accounting for one-quarter of total automobile sales. Turkey also entered the top 10 markets with approximately 124,000 electric vehicle sales in 2024. This rapid increase makes uninterrupted and secure charging infrastructure critical. Akbaş noted that EKOS Electric's charging network operator-licensed brand EKOS Mobility has established safe and accessible charging infrastructure in the South Marmara region: "With the competence provided by being a licensed operator, we provide users with uninterrupted service. In particular, by expanding our station network to include districts that previously had no charging stations, we are pioneering the region's electric transportation transformation."
Turkey's 2030 Energy Vision:
In assessing Turkey's energy vision, Akbaş emphasized: "By 2030, Turkey plans to rapidly increase wind and solar energy capacity. Energy security is now measured not just by generation but also by grid resilience. Extreme weather events, cyber risks and conflicts make the grid vulnerable.
