Artkim Fuarcılık Projects Director Dr. Şebnem ÇEÇEN, Paints Manufacturers Association (BOSAD) Board Chairman Ahmet YİĞİTBAŞI and International Association of the Paint, Ink and Colour Industry President Bill MCPHERSON opened the "7th International Paints and Coatings, Paint Raw Materials, Building Chemicals and Adhesive Raw Materials, Laboratory and Production Equipment Fair and Congress" paintistanbul & Turkcoat Fair; held between 22-24 March 2018 in Halls 9-10-11 and the Main Foyer of Istanbul Fair Center, organized by Artkim Fuarcılık and in cooperation with the Paints Manufacturers Association (BOSAD), bringing together the Paints, Building Chemicals and Insulation Industry once again.

Istanbul, a commercial hub for more than 3,000 years, ranks among the world's and the region's most important economic centers in geographical, geopolitical and commercial terms, with its population exceeding 15 million and its rapidly growing economy. The paintistanbul & Turkcoat 2018 Fair and Congress, held with international participation, represents an ideal platform for the growing paints and raw materials market. Innovative products and services were showcased to visitors from domestic and international markets at the fair; participating companies had the opportunity to reach a broad audience with their latest products and technologies and establish new business connections. In this context, paintistanbul & Turkcoat 2018 once again served as an important bridge between manufacturers and buyers.

The paintistanbul & Turkcoat Fair 2018 brought together a total of 777 companies and company representatives, comprising 238 direct participants and 539 represented participants from 16 different countries, across 3 halls and the main foyer with a gross area of 25,000 m² and net usable area of 10,000 m². The fair, hosting major companies from around the world, particularly from Turkey, China, Italy, Germany and India, welcomed a total of 6,682 professional visitors, of which 897 were international, over 3 days from 75 countries including Germany, Belgium, Bulgaria, Algeria, Georgia, Libya, Kazakhstan, Iraq, Iran, Israel, Egypt, Portugal, Russia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tunisia and Jordan. The paintistanbul & Turkcoat 2018 Congress took place on 19-21 March at the InterContinental Hotel, one day prior to the Fair, with 34 parallel presentations and 4 paint school presentations, attracting intense participation from industry professionals.

Within the special B2B area established during the fair, under the coordination of the Turkish Ministry of Economy and organized by İKMİB General Secretariat, the buying delegation program facilitated bilateral meetings between buyers from Southern Europe and North Africa and officials from the Fair's participating companies.

During the Conference held at the paintistanbul & Turkcoat 2018 Fair, presentations by leading industry companies including BASF, Kansai Altan, Dyo and Aleph Trade drew considerable interest, while Chemical Engineer Aydan Öztürkatalay, Color and Energy Specialist, spoke about "How Rainbow Colors Change Our Brain Chemistry".
