Kordsa Attends Global Entrepreneurship Congress
The Global Entrepreneurship Congress, which hosts nearly 10,000 international participants from 170 countries each year, was held in Istanbul this year under the joint coordination of Endeavor Association, Habitat Association, TİM and TOBB.
Kordsa provided sponsorship support for the three-day summit, which was seen as a significant opportunity for the growth of Turkey's entrepreneurship ecosystem and the strengthening of relationships with global players.
At the awards ceremony held on Monday, 16 April, a composite cello recital amplified and lightened by Kordsa drew considerable interest. Kordsa also sponsored the workshop titled "The Future of Transportation and Space." Murat Oğuz Arcan, Business and Market Development Director and Construction Business Unit Leader at Kordsa, participated in the Fourth Industrial Revolution Panel moderated by futurist-author Alex Salkever, alongside Amitabh Kant, CEO of India's National Transportation Institute, Utku Barış Pazar, Director of Strategy and Business Development at Koç Holding, and Tanya Woods, manager at GEN Canada.
Arcan, emphasizing that they have expanded both their lines of business and areas of operation by investing in innovation and technology, stated on the panel held on Tuesday, 17 April: "As a reinforcement player spread across a wide geography from the United States to Asia-Pacific, we provide high-value-added reinforcement solutions with a 'Strengthening Life' vision at our 8 production facilities in Turkey, the United States, Brazil, Thailand and Indonesia.
Over the past decade, we have particularly focused our research and development efforts on automation, data collection, data security and sensor technologies. Through strategic collaborations, we are successfully implementing sensor technologies and deploying them across all our factories.
With our smart manufacturing systems, we are redefining production quality and increasing production speed with fewer errors. Our products and the technologies we have developed enable the manufacturing of many products we use in daily life, making them safer, higher performing and more durable.
While supporting the production of more durable and safer structures through our construction reinforcement technologies, we contribute to the production of tires in tire reinforcement technology that reduce braking distance and grip the road better.
"Today, as Kordsa, we are working with an open innovation approach to reinforce our 'Reinforcement' title and strengthen our position as an 'Innovation Exporter'.
The environmentally friendly adhesive technology we have developed is the most current example of our open innovation approach," said Murat Oğuz Arcan, inviting entrepreneurship ecosystem players to open innovation, drawing on the Tesla example.
