BTSO Has Implemented More Than 60 Macro Projects

BTSO Has Implemented Over 60 Major Projects Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry BTSO, the umbrella organization of Bursa's business world, held the final 'Joint Committees' and 'Assembly' meetings of its 2018-2022 term. BTSO Board Chairman Burkay stated that assembly and committee members worked with high performance and added great value to the city's economy, saying "In line with our objectives of building a strong Bursa with a voice in the world in our region, we will continue working with determination. We believe in ourselves and trust our country." The BTSO September Assembly and Joint Committees Meeting was held at the Chamber's Service Building. BTSO Board Chairman Burkay said they completed the last 4 years under difficult conditions, great struggles and sacrifices.

Emphasizing that Bursa is a city with developed capacity for unity and collective action not only in good times but also in difficult times, İbrahim Burkay continued his remarks as follows:

"As representatives of the Bursa business world, we gave each other moral and strength support during our most difficult days. Under our Chamber's roof, by working around the clock, we became the voice of each member. With this collective wisdom and joint action approach, we mobilized our institutions. We enabled the implementation of many regulations that allowed our businesses to breathe."

TEKNOSAB will boost exports

Chairman Burkay said that with support from the business world, they not only provided solutions to problems emerging from changing conditions of the day, but continued to implement historic projects that illuminate the future of Bursa and the country through the collective wisdom that took hold in the city. Noting that they successfully implemented TEKNOSAB, the first planned industrial zone approximately 60 years after Bursa OIZ, under BTSO leadership, Burkay said "Having completed establishment procedures in our first phase, TEKNOSAB, with its modern infrastructure, transport connections and operational factories, thank goodness is now also contributing to our Bursa's production, employment and export power."

We implemented over 60 major projects

Chairman Burkay said that with support from BTSO's assembly and committee members, over 60 major projects that entered the history of city and national economy were implemented in the last 9 years. Stating that a new era is beginning for the business world where economies of scale are gaining importance, supply chains are diversifying, automation is accelerating, e-commerce is expanding, production operations are being redesigned and energy efficiency is gaining momentum, İbrahim Burkay concluded his remarks as follows: "In our production structure, moving in the direction of technological transformation and efficiency has shifted from being a choice to becoming a necessity. In the new economy, so to speak, the rules of the game themselves have changed. For this reason, by placing localization and self-sufficiency at the center, we must create new breakthrough areas that will propel us forward in global competition. We have determined our framework and strategies for Bursa's strong future. In line with our city's smart city planning, we aim for a Bursa that gains new investment areas, where each company emerges profitable while reducing energy costs, where our logistics costs are reduced, and with organized trade, organized housing and free trade zones, e-commerce and new fair areas, that is strong in its region and has a voice in the world. We believe in ourselves and trust our country."
