Amgen Offers Mentorship Support to University Students

Mentorship Support from Amgen for University Students Amgen Turkey employees provided mentorship support to university students in Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia regions through Faydasıçok Foundation. Nine female university students studying in STEM fields had the opportunity to benefit from the knowledge and experience of Amgen employees, each of whom has successfully advanced in their career, under the framework of the Faydasıçok Foundation Mentorship Program. Biotechnology company Amgen Turkey is providing mentorship support to university students under a project implemented by Faydasıçok Foundation. Nine university students studying in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields in Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia regions were matched with Amgen employees under the Mentorship Program. Since the beginning of the year, nine Amgen employee mentors have provided support in eight sessions. Through the mentorship program, young people had the opportunity to benefit from the knowledge and experience of Amgen employees, each of whom has successfully advanced in their career. Operating with Corporate Citizenship awareness, Amgen worked through this program to strengthen gender equality in the field of science. Amgen Turkey General Director Güldem Berkman stated that they aimed to reach successful students studying in STEM fields through the Faydasıçok Foundation Program, preparing them for professional life by supporting their personal development as impactful strong women. Güldem Berkman made the following comments on the matter: "Through the Mentorship Program, which brought us together with our young people since the beginning of the year, we aimed to reach our successful students studying in STEM fields; to nurture innovative, brave, passionate and self-accepting young women entering professional life. To this end, nine of our employees came together with students in motivation-focused sessions that teach listening, understanding, reflecting what they know, being open to different perspectives, and taking responsibility through their own life experiences."
