Ayedaş Invests TRY 1.18 Billion in Energy in Six Months

Ayedaş, a leading electricity distribution company of Enerjisa Enerji, which pioneers Turkey's energy transition, serves a population of 5.5 million on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, Turkey's most migrated-to and most densely populated city. With a customer and solution-focused approach, the company completed investments exceeding TRY 1,180 million in the region during the first six months of 2025, while continuously carrying out maintenance and repair work to strengthen the city's energy infrastructure and continue delivering more reliable and higher-quality electricity.

Infrastructure strengthened for uninterrupted energy in Istanbul
In line with the goal of a brighter Istanbul, maintenance was completed on a total of 19,288 lighting fixtures in the districts of Adalar, Ataşehir, Beykoz, Çekmeköy, Kadıköy, Kartal, Maltepe, Pendik, Sancaktepe, Sultanbeyli, Şile, Tuzla, Ümraniye and Üsküdar to minimise the effects of seasonal and climate conditions. Additionally, inspection and renewal work was performed on 921 panels, 39 transformers and 1,526 distribution centres, strengthening the energy infrastructure. During the same period, maintenance was completed on 1,394 kilometres of lines, contributing to sustainable energy distribution.

Setting investment targets in line with the city's growing energy needs, Ayedaş successfully completed these targets in the first six months of 2025 in Istanbul, the city bridging continents. In order to deliver uninterrupted and quality electricity to approximately 5.5 million people it serves, installation of 8,514 kilometres of new cable, 514 fixtures and 326 lighting poles were completed. It further strengthened its infrastructure by establishing 222 panels and 44 transformer centres.

Istanbul's energy security to increase with new technology
As a first in the sector, Ayedaş implemented contact voltage detection technology to ensure grid security and strengthen its infrastructure. Following field trials conducted in February-March 2025, in which 128.5 kilometres of scanning was completed on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, an agreement was reached with US-based Osmose for a six-month service contract. With the new technology, stray voltages that could occur in the grid are identified with precision, while field teams respond quickly and effectively to any findings.

Customer satisfaction increasing through investments in Istanbul

The company continues to stand by Istanbulites by swiftly responding to requests coming through social media. 

Enerjisa Distribution Companies, which continue performance improvements on the WhatsApp channel implemented as part of digital customer experience investment, achieved a 55% improvement in first response time compared to the first half of last year. In Digital Assistant ChatVolt usage, while 41,728 conversations were resolved through bots, user satisfaction score reached 4.15 out of 5, the highest level of all time.

Ayedaş, one of three companies in electricity distribution alongside Başkent EDAŞ and Toroslar EDAŞ under Enerjisa Distribution Companies, will continue its investments with determination to strengthen the energy infrastructure on the Anatolian side of Istanbul.
