Three Senior Appointments at Allianz Türkiye, One International
Allianz Türkiye, one of the strong players in Turkey's insurance sector, has made three senior appointments, one of them international. Okan Özdemir, Deputy General Manager of Health Insurance and Executive Board Member at Allianz Türkiye, has been appointed Executive Board Member responsible for International Health Insurance at Allianz Partners, one of the Allianz Group's global companies. In addition, Batu Öncül has been appointed Deputy General Manager of Property and Personal Insurance and Executive Board Member, while Emrah Gökmen has been appointed Deputy General Manager of Health Insurance and Executive Board Member.

Additionally, Batu Öncül has been appointed Deputy General Manager and Board Member of Elementary Individual Insurance at the company, and Emrah Gökmen has been appointed Deputy General Manager and Board Member of Health Insurance.
Leading Global Health Strategy at Allianz Partners
Starting his new role as of 1 September 2025, Okan Özdemir will report directly to Allianz Partners CEO Tomas Kunzmann. Özdemir will lead Allianz's global health strategy, managing the vision of being a "lifelong health partner" for customers on a global scale and strengthening market leadership objectives.
Joining the Allianz Turkey family in 2001, Özdemir has achieved significant successes in the health insurance field over his 24-year career. Having contributed to Allianz Turkey's leading position in the sector, which serves approximately 2.5 million health customers, Özdemir will lead Allianz Partners' growth journey with his international experience.
Two New Appointments in Turkey
As part of the appointments made in Allianz Turkey's management team:
Emrah Gökmen became Deputy General Manager and Board Member of Health Insurance.
Batu Öncül was appointed to the position of Deputy General Manager and Board Member of Elementary Individual Insurance.
Both will assume their roles as of September and will contribute to Allianz's goals of delivering innovative services to customers and leading the sector in line with the vision "Allianz With You, Today and Tomorrow."
An Expert in the Health Field: Emrah Gökmen
Emrah Gökmen, a graduate of Dokuz Eylül University Department of English Mathematics, completed his master's degree in Actuarial Science at Bahçeşehir University. Beginning his career as a Reinsurance Research and Development Specialist, Gökmen worked at Allianz as Retail Product and Pricing Manager. He later served as Sales and Implementation Leader for Non-Life Insurance at a global consulting firm. Since 2017, he has held the positions of Health Insurance Product and Actuarial Department Leader and Elementary Individual Insurance Leader at Allianz Turkey.
A Leader Distinguished by Global Experience: Batu Öncül
Batu Öncül, a graduate of Boğaziçi University Department of Computer Engineering, continued his education with an MBA program at MIT Sloan School of Management. Throughout his career, he has held leadership positions at global companies including Procter & Gamble, Bain & Company, McKinsey & Company, and Actera Group. Most recently at McKinsey, he led strategic projects for numerous financial institutions in Turkey and Europe.
