Senior Appointment at Aksa Enerji

Hakan Yıldırım has been appointed Vice President responsible for managing the Excellence Center at Aksa Enerji.
Aksa Enerji, Turkey's largest publicly traded independent power producer with 14 power plants in 9 countries, 4 of which are in the investment phase, and total installed capacity exceeding 3,900 MW, has appointed a senior executive to lead its Excellence Center, identified as a strategic initiative.
Hakan Yıldırım, appointed Vice President responsible for managing the Excellence Center, completed his undergraduate degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Middle East Technical University, followed by a master's degree in Business Administration at Boğaziçi University.
Yıldırım began his career in 1998 at Aselsan. After 2 years at Aselsan, between 2000 and 2005 he served as Field Engineer and Commissioning Group Manager at Gama Güç Sistemleri on natural gas pipeline, combined cycle power plant and coal plant projects.
In 2005, Yıldırım joined Siemens Turkey as Project Manager, and in 2018 took on the role of Chairman and CEO of Siemens Gamesa Turkey.
Following his tenure as CEO at Kalyon Enerji Yatırım A.Ş., which he began in 2018, Yıldırım was appointed CEO of Sanko Enerji between 2020 and 2024. During this period, he also served as Chairman of the Turkish Wind Energy Association (TÜREB) in 2019 and 2020, and as Chairman of the DEIK Energy Business Council.
The Aksa Enerji Excellence Center is positioned as a strategic unit that will support the company's goal of becoming a stronger player in the energy sector by increasing operational efficiency and innovation capacity. Through process improvements and innovative solutions implemented by this center, Aksa Enerji aims to contribute to its global growth objectives.
