New OPTISYS TUR 1060 Optical Turbidity Measurement System

Krohne launches new OPTISYS TUR 1060 optical turbidity measurement system: The new measurement system's primary applications are quality monitoring and filtration surveillance in drinking water, cooling water circuits, or demineralization processes. The new analytical system uses 90° scattered light technology and complies with US EPA 180.1 and EN ISO 7027 standards. Offered with 4…20mA and Modbus RS485 communications, the new system features improved usability, fast measurement response time, easy and economical calibration, data logging, and low maintenance requirements. Although the OPTISYS TUR 1060 shares similar features with its predecessor model OPTISYS TUR 1050, the system has been completely redesigned. The new measurement system provides more efficient operation through cursor keys, easy-start functionality, and application features requiring no specialized knowledge. For more flexible operation, measurement ranges can be adjusted according to application. In less than five minutes, the system can be calibrated in reusable calibration cuvettes without exposure to hazardous formazin.

The new system features an integrated data logger capable of storing measurements and the last four calibration values for up to one year, depending on the recording interval selected between 1 and 60 minutes. Calibration values and recorded measurement data can be easily downloaded via USB interface. The OPTISYS TUR 1060 has very low maintenance requirements with minimal wear, long-term durability, and short downtime due to its long-life light source and automatic ultrasonic cleaning feature of the measurement cuvette.
